it doesn't surprise me that Ole Miss fans from Small College Town Mississippi would chose Auburn. Prolly been down here twice and think the Square is actually fun.

simply put, BR is larger with more options... However, AU is a much more desirable area.... less crime, better schools, better housing, less democrats...

Baton Rouge is still kind of a crappy town though. The biggest advantage is the closeness of New Orleans for visitors. It's sure better than Auburn and Starkvegas, but it doesn't mean it's a cool place to live.

I love the fact that I can go to Walmart and run into 8 or 9 people that I know. Occasionaly I see good Ole Huey doing his shopping.
Me and my friends followed him around chanting "Houston Nutt" while he does his shopping. That's the glory of a small town.

sounds like an awesome Saturday night. Bars close at midnight and can't buy cold beer. Town ceases to exist on sundays. join a frat and buy friends. maybe i'll wear a tie to games and appear classy. sign me up.

and BR sucks?

why is it crappy? because it has diversity? because it's not in Mississippi? because it doesn't have white picket fences throughout the city limits? i question if you've ever been to a city.

Saturday nights are awesome as long as you buy the booze for the late night early. Yeah I hate having to plan that stuff out, but it's not like the party ends at midnight.

Those are the Median Home values for Auburn and Baton Rouge. Guess which one is Baton Rouge.

Those are sure some expensive trailers!

And the issue is the prices of houses immediately adjacent to the LSU campus.

The prices you quoted above would be the down payment on those homes.

Over 50% of AU students literally live in trailers, correct? Pretty awesome housing.

Auburn is basically a couple Huddle Houses, some pastures, some trailer parks, a few really shite sausage fest bars and a college. Can't beat that.

This thread is really retarded and completely pointless. Useless pissing contest. I read the title and skipped to this page to comment what a bunch of idiots with too much time to piss at each other here. In my post that apparently started this, I said BR was nice, been there several times. I like AU better. Most people will say they like where they live or lived better anyway. Whoever started this must be a bored retard is my conclusion.

I'm from Baton Rouge and go to school in Tuscaloosa. Baton Rouge was a great place to grow up and Tuscaloosa is a great place to go to school. I've visited just about every school in the SEC and have had great times. I would go back to any SEC campus except that cow pasture east of Montgomery. The place blows and the people suck. Thats my two cents.

No dog in this hunt but i would figure the beaches in bama would draw more. Outside of Mardis Gras is NO really a tourist attraction or LA period. Maybe i am just used to things here.
