Would they be in front of FSU or behind them at the moment?
In addition...blindy looking at the avg SOS for 4 teams, how would you rank them knowing they are all undefeated?
Team A: SOS of 50.2
Team B: SOS of 39.0
Team C: SOS of 34.6
Team D: SOS of 70.0

Can't do the eye test blindly. I say Bama # 1 - they look good.

Was a legitimate question with Auburn being one of only two one-loss teams in the SEC.
Would they be ranked ahead of or behind FSU?

Yes, but where would San Jose State be if they were undefeated?

considering we started unranked, it's pretty damn obvious we'd be behind them

So would they be 3rd ahead of OSU, Baylor and Stanford?

How many losses would Auburn have if they were undefeated?

We'd be ranked 3rd and deservedly so. We'd control our own destiny anyway because we play bama at the end of the season.
Been on this board for 2-3 months 90% of the posters are mouth breathers. Ignore them.

If Auburn was undefeated, right now, they would be ranked #3. However, even if they were #4 or #5, for some stupid reason, they would still end up playing for the National Championship if they ended the season undefeated. Wins over #25 Georgia, #1 Alabama, and top 10 South Carolina or Mizzou would push them over the top.
All IMO, of course.

It would be a close vote for the 2nd and 3rd slots. Unsure voters would have them ahead of FSU only because FSU started the season ranked higher than Auburn.
I think if Alabama had beaten LSU earlier in the season and Auburn had beaten LSU last weekend, then there is a chance they might have jumped FSU for the 2nd spot

I'll bite,
C
B
A
D,
Though I would like a little more information than just the raw "SOS of 50.2" etc. numbers, like what is the total W/L record of their opponents, and of their opponents' opponents.
Not really sure I understand how those fancy computers and mathematicians come up with their SOS numbers.
