I agree with everything you just said.
Especially in the SEC.
Especially in the SEC.

Haha, I don't mean to be hatin'. Normally, I wouldn't be so harsh but I'm beyond tired of being stereotyped as a racist for being an Ole Miss fan/student.

Not to mention that we had a lot more drunk fans to throw things on the field, and a much better reason
In my opinion, none of it is defendable whether at a basketball game or football game. Liquor is a very poor excuse, a cop out. You don't know what these guys may throw. At some sporting events, fans throw pennies, liquor bottles or anything they can get their hands on. There is no good reason to throw items on any field or court.

Ole Miss has definitely come a long way in just the past ten years or so trying to get away from that stereotype.
I'm also confident the vast majority of MS State fans are ashamed about what has transpired this week. A small portion of the fanbase can do some damage to any fanbase. LSU has its fair share.

I said that throwing things on the field are never acceptable in my post.
But to argue that liquor isn't an excuse is naive.
Liquor is always an excuse. You shouldn't get too drunk for it to affect your judgement, but we all do time and time again.

It's not a reasonable excuse. It's banned in SEC stadiums. I know you guys don't want cowbells in the stadium for the very same reason, which I am fine with as well.

Pretty sure he's referring to getting liquored up pre-game.

I'm here.
A dirty liberal like me would have had no business with Ole Miss ten years ago.
Even though my father went here, I couldn't stand to be at a place where I could actually feel the racism. I can't stand those places period, it's why I'm glad I'm not in Memphis anymore. Anyways I feel like I can make a positive impact on Mississippi here, and still get to enjoy one of the best bar scenes and a damn good music scene. The lyric recently ranked at #95 in ticket sales worldwide for a club venue. The only other places in the region that cracked the list were the HOB in New Orleans and some theatre in New Orleans. We have the advantage of only having two real music venues, but in a town of 40,000 that's damn impressive.
Bela Fleck played the lyric friday, btw.
