Yes. Ole Miss fans have never done this. Ever.

You didn't write the music; neither did we. frick if I know what cheers you guys have, but I'm sure plenty of schools have that line in a cheer.

Of course we have. The thing is, we realize this will all go away, but can't we laugh at it RIGHT NOW while the rest of the country is? Can't wait for PTI, you know they will talk about it...

Alabama has it in Rammer Jammer, but I have seen their fans admit they got it from us. Go on, just admit it...

Truth.
To be honest......i think we ripped off chanting Hotty Toddy to the music from them though.

That's cool, we still came up with the cheer though...

Truth....so I guess since we have the rights to the chant....we're in no fault for chanting it to music.

You should have seen how scared Calipari was for his own safety.
Almost as good of an acting job as his players taking charges.

A few people around the country are definitely talking about it. On the bright side though, the herd said that basketball last night didn't even get a 1 rating due to the olympics and american idol etc.

Forgive me. I didn't watch the game and just saw the highlights.

So it wasn't taken from some other school in your state? Right. That would be like Ole Miss fans bowing to the defense after a 3 and out or the band playing Neck. Thank God we don't have to stoop to that and can make up our own cheers...
Or not.

1921 The VAMC band was marching at the Richmond parade, honoring Field Marshall Foch of France. The drum major attempted a mace toss as he passed the reviewing stand. The wind blew the mace and it fell to ground, bouncing once. The drum major caught the mace off the bounce and still rendered a proper salute to the reviewing officer. Field Marshall Foch supposedly said 'hoity-toity' (show-off in French) in response to the drum major's display. For many years this was believed to be the origin of the band's name. However, history states that the name came from a cheer that was invented when the band was housed in Division E, the fifth stairwell of Lane Hall. While waiting for meals, each unit would give up a cheer. The bandsmen were tired of not having a name, and made up a cheer that went: "Highty Tighty, Christ Almighty, who the hell are we? Riff ramm, goddamn, we're from Division E." It has since evolved over the years.

Right, so we took something from them and changed it in 1921, and they were from another conference. You took something, left it the same, and took it from your "in state rival" recently. Little difference there.

So you think we took "we're gonna beat the hell outta you" from Ole Miss?
