That may change when he takes his official. But I'm not going to change that until anything happens.

Hell, most UF fans still think he is going to Auburn.

The point is that he is up in the air right now. Florence is a lock, but Roberson isn't. Stop trying to count him in your class. Just be patient.

But the key to Roberson’s recruitment could be his mother. Roberson said during the Under Armour All-America Game practices earlier this week that his mom “loves” Auburn, though he would like her to visit Florida with him.

Yep. A noob. This means nothing.

Then go ahead and re-evaluate Brent Calloway.

I'll go ahead and do that then. You know, because I work for Rivals and everything.

Did you miss the entire reasoning behind that?

And again...this was a thread about LSU's DBs, who are awesome.

Personally, I'm looking at Brandon Taylor to be the new captain of our defense in the absence of Kelvin Sheppard. Throw in Craig Loston, and rotate in Eric Reid, and we'll have the best safeties in the SEC.

Corner isn't too shabby, either, with Claiborne, Simon, and Mathieu holding it down.

We're also bringing in one of the best cover corners in Texas this year in David Jenkins, and another little ball of terror named Micah Eugene from Lafayette.

No, I understood it perfectly.

Thought it was dumb and didn't need an explanation.

That's debatable. Mark Barron is a two time All-American and Robert Lester finished second in the nation in INTs. We add Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix and bring back Robby Green, a part time starter in 2009. Jarrick Williams and Nick Perry are coming along nicely in their development.

For such an expert you are conviently leaving out depth factor. Roberson could come to AU and if not start next year get significant PT. Meanwhile in gainsville Janoris Jenkins is staying for his senior season and Roberson would be sitting on the bench there. That swings it in AUs favor IMO

Well, don't suggest one of Alabama's "DBs" should not count as such, when that's what he'll play, when Calloway is evaluated as a LB, but will play RB.

I doubt he does. He's recovering from an injury that would prevent him to do a Pro Day or private work outs.

I don't claim to know what is going through the guy's head.

Did I insinuate that? No. You are avoiding that little tidbit pretty hard though.

No, I just think it is irrelevant to the point, which is that Roberson is still up in the air.

There are plenty of good reasons to go to Florida, too. That is the part you are leaving out.

Look, he might go to Auburn. He might go to Florida. We don't know. Just stop trying to count him in the class right now.

This is a losing battle until he commits. I think we can all recognize a lock when we see one, like Erique.

Again, I don't work for Rivals, and as such, cannot edit anyone's listed position.

What I stated was fact. Grow up. I'm not trying to tarnish your mighty tide 'cruitin championship.

(just for Tx) And if Roberson does commit to Auburn, we will have a better DB class than both bama and FSU, even with your 3 star counting.

Agreed. I got a buddy from Valley who is good friends with Erique since they were kids and they "frick all da bad white bitches in Valley" or something like according to him. He said one of the biggest reasons Erique likes AU besides distance is that he can keep the same colors from high school

There are some LA DBs we've let slip away recently, much to my dismay.

Janzen Jackson is the most obvious and high profile. I don't really want to get into that.

Prentiss Waggner is another guy who plays for Tennessee. He did really well at our camp and I never understood why we didn't offer him. I'd rather have him than say, Ryan St. Julien, who is buried on our depth (different years, but I'm just sayin).

The one who got away this year is Floyd Raven. He's headed to Ole Miss. He got injured and missed our camp, and by the time our staff got a good look at him we already had Jenkins and Jalen Collins, both good cover guys.

Then we have Micah Eugene who will play that nickel back blitzing position that lil T-Rex played this year, and we've got a pretty solid class.

Still, I have a feeling Floyd Raven will be good.

good call. Your safeties are much more proven. I like our 2ndary better as a whole of course, but I think Bama will have better safeties.

Now, 2 years from now when Trex, Simon, Reid, and Loston are upperclassmen it's gonna be crazy. Add in Mingo, Freak, Ego, and Sam coming after the QB.

With Mett throwing to Randle, Shep, and Landry. Ware and Ford leading the rushing game behind Worle and Collins.

I will be highly disappointed if we don't win it all in 2012. Doubt we can win it next year, but I would like to see a BCS bowl.

Cooper is the BEST DB coach in the country. I have no doubt. Look what he did with South Carolina. He needs to be kept if there are coaching changes.
