No AP, no title, unless you won the UPI but that wasn't until after 1950. Not every conference sent programs to bowls in consecutive years like the SEC did. Just because UGA received several selectors, they didn't get the one that mattered, the AP. You're still at 1. But keep trying to grasp.
What about before the AP even started? You know, before 1936? I guess cfb just didn't have national championships awarded
it wasn't consensus then, and it's not now. We also have a few more we can claim, if we counted anything like Bama. A very strong claim to 1946, if you ask me.
