I will never worry about our OL under Kelly.
He was sacked once every 11 pass attempts, about the same as he was at ASU.
2022 LSU only had 1,687 non qb rushing yards.
2023 Lsu only had 1,428 non qb rushing yards.
Without a freak at qb that OL is exposed baw

What is the reason of that not happening in the next 5-10 years?
The SEC is about to get a lot tougher with two additional elite teams. To make the playoff, you’ve got to finish in the Top 3 or 4 out of 16 programs… OM is not going to be in the Top 3 or 4 40-60% of the time… not with Bama, UGA, TX, OU, AU, LSU, UF, TN, A&M, etc all in the same conference

I think Saban goes atb least till the conclusion of the WVU series ( if It stays scheduled)

Saban told me his final season will be in 2030.

Seems pretty obvious Lane is going to stay at OM until the Bama job opens up. What happens there is a guess but I’m thinking he won’t move until he sees if that happens or not.

Lets look at the teams you mentioned and their appearances in the access bowls which would have been "playoffs"
Alabama-9
UGA-7
OU-6
UF-3
LSU-2
Texas-2
Auburn-2
Tenn-1
A&M-1
OM has 4 which puts them at 4th on this list. So by your reasoning the conference will get harder with teams like AUBURN TN and A&M who added up together has the same number of appearances?
4 out of the last 10 years they have, and that includes 4 years of Matt Luke and probation....
What is Auburns, LSU, UF, TN, A&M's reasoning for not having more than OM?

Looking at the past is basically meaningless since everything is changing going forward.
1. The SEC is about to add two new highly formidable programs. Just because you finished in the Top 3 or 4 of the league when there were 14 teams doesn’t mean you’ll be able to do that with 16.
2. Scheduling is about to get more even. When you scrap divisions and rotate more teams, all schedules should come much closer to equal in strength. This means the teams who have typically had a scheduling DISADVANTAGE should see their schedules ease up a bit relative to others (i.e. AU and LSU) while teams who have enjoyed a scheduling ADVANTAGE will see their schedules get much more difficult (i.e. Kentucky)
3. The Big 10 will be adding FOUR teams, three of which have shown to be very formidable at the national level. This will affect the top of the rankings. It’s no longer a 3-4 program league with a bunch of mediocre teams below.
Everything is changing moving forward.

Can’t speak for those others, but I can tell you we’ve played Georgia every season while you’ve played Vandy. That’s a gigantic difference.
Look at Auburn’s 2019 schedule as an example. Based on final CFB Playoff rankings, Auburn played the following teams:
#1 LSU in Baton Rouge (lost 20-23)
#5 Georgia at home (lost 14-21)
#6 Oregon in Dallas (won 27-21)
#9 Florida in Gainesville (lost 13-24)
#13 Alabama at home (won 48-45)
Auburn finishes #12.
Chances are Auburn will never have a schedule that difficult again relative to other teams in the league. Let’s check on Ole Miss’ schedule that season.
You also played #1 LSU and #13 Bama… along with #12 Auburn.
Instead of #6 Oregon, you played 8-5 Cal
Instead of #5 Georgia, you played 3-9 Vandy
Instead of #9 Florida, you played 6-6 Missouri
Scheduling disparities like that within a league should never be that extreme. And thankfully, going forward the disparities will greatly diminish.
By your example, you had Auburn missing the Playoff had one happened in 2019. I would argue though that in a future SEC with no divisions, we would never play a schedule with Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Florida all in the same year.
In all likelihood, under the new format we would have not played either LSU or Florida and would have played a Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri or someone like that in their place…. And we therefor would have made the playoff with just two losses and a win over Bama and the PAC 12 champ.

But how’s the OL/DL recruiting? Teams with best DL usually win.
The OL recruiting has been great. The DL recruiting is lacking, and any honest LSU fan will tell you that. Now, we lost our DL coach this year to health issues, so that played a factor, but he has to step it up there.

Also there is this. Since the 2014, regular season games played against the following opponents:
#1 team: Auburn 8, Ole Miss 6
Top 5 teams: Auburn 19, Ole Miss 12
Top 10 teams: Auburn 27, Ole Miss 14 (!)
Top 25 teams: Auburn 42, Ole Miss 26
….that’s in just a 9-year period.
There is absolutely no reason there should be this much of a strength of schedule discrepancy between two programs who play not only in the same Conference but even the same division.
This is about to get rectified in large part. Sure we might continue to play both Alabama and Georgia every season (and I hope we do), but we’re also about to get Vandy, Kentucky, etc every other year to even things our. And the likes of Ole Miss will start playing Georgia every other year instead of once every seven years.
