1) The Playoff - It is, in theory at least, a fantastic event in its own right and was inevitable. However, it has begun cheapening much of what made college football special. It has spurred conference realignment ending historic ties, rendered bowl games useless, increased margin of error for top teams making the games a touch less meaningful.
2) Saban Effect - When your rival is amid arguably the best run in college football history you truly get numb to it at some point.
3) TV Money - Has supercharged everything, getting coaches fired easily, pressure cooked the NIL debate, and commercialized the sport at such a rapid rate it is harder and harder to recognize.
At the end of the day when college football Saturday rolls around I'll always find a way to enjoy it.. but I think the above factors have made it less of a 24/7/365 thing than it once was for fans nationwide as well as Auburn fans in particular with the Saban/Kirby/SEC West difficulties

Bro I mean this, you are the most pathetic poster on this site. When I lurked this site and first joined you weren't this bad. You could tell you didn't care for Alabama but that is understandable. You seemed to know what you were talking about and I gained insight from your posts once I saw thru the orange and blue hue in what you shared.

I quit caring so much when we had our first kid in 2015. I can pretty much remember games by years from 2002-2014. It gets fuzzy after that.

You've made the accusation, so prove it: find Murph4HOF posting on a pay site. If there is one, make sure you show when they joined because I wouldn't put it past you to create an account on some board then try to pass it off as being as authentic as your "insider list" of AU HC candidates.

It says that Auburn choked in glorious fashion and that the following week one of Saban's worst overall teams in his tenure at 'Bama still managed to blow out Georgia's best team in their long boring history.
