When Saban is gone, will Bama restrict themselves to a coach with ties to Saban?

Aubies in bye week thread mode.
I know Bama did this for coaches after Bear. Will the same thing happen with Nick?

Of course, and 30 years of mediocre football would follow.

Curry had no ties to Bryant. Nor did Franchione, Price, or Shula, for that matter.

Jimbo and Gus are the same age. If Gus is still here and Fisher gets the nod it would be an interesting dynamic.

I would hope that those at the University has learned that lesson and just go after the best coach.

Very much so, and we have far more money to throw at Jimbo than FSU does.

I wouldn't mind Dooley if he could coach a little better.
