The SEC has had 4 different Conference and 4 different National Champions over the past 5 years. With this simple fact, how can anyone think that any one team is dominating right now?

No, I came here to set idiots straight. It just so happens that bammers are idiots.

*AUTHOR'S NOTE* There is a difference between a "bammer" and a "Bama fan". The latter group is generally alright.

There are Tide fans and then there are the cheerio kids. Just got to make the distinction. Also, the OP clarified his use of the word 'dynasty'. And I think most are saying if UA wins the BCS CG in 2012 or 2014 (2015 for myself) the word would be accurate....for opinion purposes.

But that is being overlooked as random timelines are being used to discredit Alabama, or just flame, in this thread. Others are just incapable of accepting any success for the Alabama football program. Especially among the ITAT and AE crowd.

Okay, so had Okie State not lost, bama would be out of the discussion for a national title shot, and losing that "oh so close game at home" actually meant something.

Which goes back to winning the conference > national title. Because without that, you don't get in.

Not true, many posters on here have said Bama has had a great run, which they have. Many have also said that it is simply not a dynasty, which is also true. You have not dominated the conference and been the undisputed, 1 and only elite team. Your not even the only undisputed, elite team in your own division.

It was the wording of the OP, that he clarified late but no doubt got overlooked. To be honest, personally, another NC by UA would be horrible, the unbearable would be multiplied 1000x. That being said, accomplishment should be judged on it's own. Coach Saban winning a 3rd NC while in toughest division of toughest conference says it all.

I'm aware many LSU posters have acknowledged that. However, we don't have a 7 page thread because of civil discussion. But this is the SEC Rant, I should expect that after all this time.

But what if LSU, Auburn, or Florida wins the National Championship between now and 2015, especially LSU? That would be multiple national championships for another conference foe other than Bama over a 5 or 6 year period.

A lot of 'what ifs' still up in the air before dynasty talk enters the conversation.

Any blog. I've been looking, doesn't exist. So, doing my 2 cents, drop in the bucket, to up what is here. And homerism can be entertaining and I really don't have a problem with it. It's the repetition for the 9000th time that gets old.

Wrong. Okie St would've gotten in for being undefeated, not for winning the Big 12.

Of those four teams, which ones have multiple titles? Only Bama and UF. UF is disqualified because of two 8-5 seasons. Bama hasn't won less than 10 games or finished ranked lower than #10 since 2007. Nobody in the SEC is close to those numbers when you examine the past few years closely. That's what sets Bama apart from other dtrong SEC programs like UF and LSU and that's why you see major publications like SI and ESPN throwing around the word "dynasty" when speaking of Alabama.

Umm, that's not a requirement for being in the title game.

Even with the ISU loss OSU still got #2 votes. If OSU wins that game, imo:
1. LSU beats OSU 42-20
2. UA beats whoever in Sugar Bowl
3. ButthurtNation wouldn't be butthurt
4. HomerNation wouldn't be homering
5. 80% of the post season threads would be LSU fans hacking on UA instead of visa versa.

If ISU only knew their part in blogosphere.
