Man I wish these arguments would stop. Why can't everyone accept that Alabama is the deserving champion? When will the butthurt on both sides end? Why is the season taking so long to get here?

And if WVU doesn't lose, LSU and their SEC trophy are sitting at home in 2007. Does that make your title somehow less legitamate? Not in my mind. You won it under the system in place. End of story.

So you think just because you're the best team you should be in the title game anyway. Even if you lose 2 games, and have a worse resume? If Bama is the best team but loses to LSU,Bama gets to go to the seccg just becaus they are the better team. You do realize you sound dumb, right? The better team doesnt always win, but with you it doesn't matter even if the best team loses, they should still be in the title game. Wow you're dumb.

No, it isn't about rematches. The manner in which the remach would have occured is completely established by the SEC. The winner of that game would be the SEC Champ, regardless of the fashion in which it occurred. Florida and Texas A&M would have been given equal opportunity to win their division, and represent their division in the SEC champ game. At no point would the manner in which the games were won be a factor.
But I ask you this. If LSU had lost in January 9-6 and missed 7 field goals in the process, would Alabama still be viewed the same? The BCS winners would still be Alabama, but 99% of the country would say that the BCS didn't determine the National Champ. And even though Alabama absolutely bitched LSU 21-0... That doesn't make them National Champs in my mind, it merely makes them BCS Champs.
Why do you even care? The crystal ball is in Tuscaloosa. The shirts have been printed. You believe yourself to be champs. Why do you care if I don't recognize the BCS Champs this year as the National Champs?

The fact that you can't understand that the SEC title and BCS title are awarded by different rules is your problem, not mine. LSU won the SEC under the proper SEC rules...and are thus rightly SEC champs. Likewise, Bama won the BCS under proper BCS rules, and thus are rightly BCS champs. It's not that hard really...

Bama was the best team last year. I was over it on jan 10th. All I've done is post Bama's resume and OSU's resume pre bowl game and they can't stand it. Also I'm not wrong on the texas tech, tex ordeal. Tex was left out due to a weaker SOS. DWI. Never has who you lost to outweighed who you beat. Oklahoma beat higher and more ranked teams than Tex. so one again GUMP, you're wrong

So a system that allows for a rematch to determine a champion within a conference is fine, but if a system allows for a rematch to determine a champion on the national level, it's screwed up. Mmmmkay.

If that scenario plays out, it's a split tile just like dozens of titles before in the past of college football history. Both fanbases would be pretty happy and claim the title for that year just like LSU and USC do for 2003. But the fact of the matter is that didn't happen. Bama blew LSU out and are not only BCS champs like you keep saying, but AP champs and every other major service champ. It's called a unanimous title...look it up some time.
