Saban is on a remarkable run. Alabama will go as far as Saban will carry them... then they will come back to Earth when Saban drops them on their toothless faces.

Has anybody told the Bammers that one of their two recent NC are not worth as much as the other? The value of the last was greatly diminished by a myriad of factors.

LOL...according to who? You? LSU fans? You think we give a flip? The crystal ball speaks for itself, and the 2011 version resides in Tuscaloosa and nowhere else.

Did we win our division/conference, and was our resume better than all other 2 loss teams that year?

You backed your way into that BCSCG. You lost two games.

It's funny to me when LSU fans try to diminish our 2011 year, when 2007 was your last defining moment--the "we are undefeated in regulation Les Miles" year.

The division/conference thing is a red herring. 1) It's not in the BCS Rules. And 2) I think we demonstrated emphatically in New Orleans that we were the best team in the division and the conference.

Enjoy those "#2 in the country" rings.

Look about even to me, especially considering we had to play #2 LSU twice. OSU didn't play an elite team all year. Sooners sucked last year, as did the Horns.

We got totally dominated in the NC, I've never refuted that! However, had Okie State won, you wouldn't have played played LSU twice. Why you continue to use that is beyond me.

In case you haven't noticed, Saban left LSU set up for the future. I suspect he'll do the same at Bama.

That's the first good point that has been made. There is too much ambiguity and bias in a system that tries to determine who the two best teams on paper are, regardless of results, then use results to determine the champ. The games could have been reversed, and LSU would be the champs. Fact of the matter is determining the National Champs outside of an expanded playoff that includes enough both conference champs and at large bids is going to be flawed. In every other sport we let conference/division champs/better records get some sort of advantage in a playoff, then go forward in a bracket. LSU earned nothing for winning their division and beating Alabama already. Alabama might have been the better team on paper, but the better team doesn't always win. This year was an example of destroying that fact. I mean I don't give a frick, really. The crystal football is in Tuscaloosa. You can't change that. But we all know that moving forward we need a playoff, and Alabama winning the BCS this year is a perfect example of why.

The point is , that you shouldn't have been there to begin with. LSU beat Bama at Bama. That was your only hard game. The ending to the 2012 season is what made every other conference want change, because only in CFB is
12-1 beat 3 ranked teams and 4 with a winning record, no divisional or conf title
BETTER THAN
13-1 beat 8 ranked teams and 9 with a winning record , won the division as the conf that the former team

NU, in a five period, only lost 3 games while winning 3 NC's. UF's mid 2000's run is more comparable.

You mean sort of like if WVU had beaten Pitt in 2007 LSU wouldn't have plyed in the natty?

Jeez it was a lousy troll attempt. Calm down Bammers.

Saban will leave a cupboard filled with NFL talent for the next guy, but Bama fans don't honestly believe the next coach will be as successful as Saban do they?

Miami went 76-6 from '86-92 and won 3 titles, could've won 5, and had 2 Heisman winners. Nebraska won 3 titles from '93-97 and almost won 4 if they wouldn't of lost the Orange Bowl. THESE ARE DYNASTIES. Like I said earlier, good run for Bama right now, nothing wrong with that.

EL OH EL! Go back and look at the records of all two loss teams, and tell me why LSU didn't deserve to be in the title game?

BTW, you lost to LSU in 2011...
