Cool. He won’t be in Gainesville in 2025. Keep hoping. We have heard this every offseason. Everyone said Lane was a hired gun and would get out as soon as possible. None of that happened.

But people are knowledgeable in coaching searches and if you follow it every year, you know what happened. You don’t have to believe it. But it’s true.

I mean, according to tRant he was gone 3 years ago, but yet…..
Look, Kiffin will leave at some point, maybe after this season. But he has stayed at OM longer than anybody thought he would (including me). I never thought he could have multiple 10 win seasons and still be our coach. As I’ve stated in other threads, we will enjoy it while it lasts….simple as that.

The biggest advantage Ole Miss has is Lane vs Josh….I mean, Lane and Ole Miss literally beat Josh in Knoxville when Josh had a better roster. And please don’t try to tell me that 2021 Ole Miss had better players than Tennessee.

QB Dart vs Nico. Dart has the experience but Nico has the talent. Push to start the season
WR? W Vols 5 man rotation and it’s not that close
TE push neither have done anything
DL? Vols all day long not close
OLB preseason push
CB or Safety I would have agreed on because the Vols replaced everyone and are an unknown. But the rest? No. Vols front 7 are a top 5 in the country. And Vols WR room is stacked. QB would require a couple of injuries. Dart is a very serviceable QB and Kiffin has him playing well above his ceiling but 4 to 1 td to Int and 65% completions in Kiffins system is meh. Let’s look at QB again after the season
