I do too. Lots of guys in the deep South will. When they're younger, they don't see any problem with it. By the time they're old enough to be self-conscious, well, they should be old enough to decide not to give a damn if they still call their dad 'daddy' as they always have.

For the longest time I did not tell my father I loved him, I guess I thought I was too much of a man to do something like that.
However I realized I was still his child, and he needed to hear me say it. I am SO glad I did, because now I have children, and realize what it means to him to hear it....

I'm going down whatever road leads to the most interesting banter.
I have zero memory of my father ever kissing me and we never called him Daddy, he was just dad. My Grandfather was either Opa or Herr Obersturmbannführer depending on the context. I turned out just fine.
