You said it's unique. It's actually quite the opposite. It's extremely generic. Penn State plays it, so does Ohio State, and countless other universities and pro franchises. Wanderlei Silva walks out to it every single time he fights. It's his tradition too. So it's not synonymous with South Carolina football. I would say it's more synonymous with high action sports than it is with South Carolina football.

If you go to the song's wikipedia page, literally an entire paragraph is devoted to South Carolina.
