there's one slight, yet huge difference...we've been there before, know what it is like to be on top and to finish on top. we know what it's like to exceed expectations...if history is correct it is rare for the hogs to do that.

If history is correct the hogs have won championships and been on top just the younger generations have no idea of that.

Usually the people who've been to the top become complacent and the old dog with a new spark comes and knocks them off. In today's world Alabama will never dominate the SEC again. Scholarship limits, money, national marketing, competition is double strong.

You have the same odds we do.

Also, Alabama has never blown out Arkansas in all of the 21 game history. Even during our worst decade in Arkansas history 90's.

EDIT: Worst Arkansas lose to Bama was 35-7 in 2009. Worst of all time, you can call that one a blowout if you like. Good lord our defense was bad that year.

Uh Bama beat the brakes off of us a few years back, only reason it wasnt worse was Saban had class and called the dogs off.

but to your point, there will never be another time where we dont take the field with a 50/50 chance of winning, and all these other fanbases that have reigned supreme are lashing out in fear response.

Already corrected above.

Exactly my point Arkansas is no longer talent and coaching deficient when compared to other elite teams. We pay him (BP) the 3rd highest in the SEC, he's recruiting Memphis, Texas and Arkansas well, we are building him an additional 80,000 sq. ft locker room and offices south of the stadium. Basically everything is in place better than it's ever been.

Our odds are the same as UGA, UF, LSU, Bama and Auburn.

I missed the 93' game.. Ouch!

However, a little revenge for us in 98' with a 42-6 Arkansas win.

Programs go up and down like the stock market.

Odds of winning games based on equal talent and coaching minus or plus at tad home field advantage.

Alright, I'm convinced. But for Arky to really take that final step and be considered an elite football school. you're gonna have to upgrade the fight song.

The SEC coaches voted that you have good talent THIS year but overall you aren't up to the level of other great recruiting SEC schools just yet.

and... ? Football is a year to year basis.

We had enough talent to get to the BCS last year. 2 years in a row is fine with me and a better team this year but harder schedule.

And it takes high level talent/recruiting to consistently win in the SEC
