He had an Oline that never got called for holding and RB that took the stress off of him
Yet JJ put up similar numbers with No Oline or Running game. You put him in that situation and he lights defenses up.

He's good enough to win the SEC CG and will likely win BCS CG.

But, he's good enough to do the above, so he is good enough.
I NEVER get worked up about the #1, #2 thing. Within a range, the are all the same.
#1 thru #5 (or so) recruiting classes are equal
#6 coach is good enough to beat #1 coach.
Thus, the young man is an excellent qb and that is as good as I need.

You can play the IF game all you want memphisplaya, but the facts remain, Mcelroy looks to be budding into a pretty damn good QB. Accept it or dont, I dont give a shite.

Snead and Mallet are better. They are both expected to do mush more. McElroy just is a game manager which is all you need in a Saban style team.
Its not that he is a great QB. He hands off and does play action once the D gets in the box to stop the run. Much like Mauck and Flynn at LSU.
Not great QB's at all but they go the job done. Same thing with McElroy.

I think G-Mac is in the same tier as Jefferson. I think Jefferson will be a top 3 round pick one day. I don't think McElroy will be.
