Oh yeah, I forgot about that whole mess.

haha.

j/k

Since we're telling Barney Fife stories, my second night in Starkville I was taken in on suspicion of driving drunk. I had a Texas DL, I was in the pen with a guy from South Carolina, georgia, and Tennessee. See the pattern. I just went thru a road block and was asked to pull over in a parking lot. Didn't even bother to ask if I'd been drinking. THAT was the biggest bullshite I've ever experienced. I wasn't drinking. They asked me to take a few test and i told them I hadn't been drinking and his response was, "then you won't mind doing these test." Did them, he said i didnt' pass and still took me in.

Isn't the Police Chief in Starkville a big OM tool?

Maybe so - have heard that but haven't witnessed it in person. However, knowing that - and it doesn't seem to be much of a secret, why wouldn't you act accordingly rather than just bitching about getting arrested for something that is illegal?

Yeah Starkville police can be real toolbags also. But they have a few laid back ones too. Luckily I ran into one of the more lenient ones once.

Actually, that was my only run-in with them like that.

The other times I deserved it.

That's called the Oxford Police Department. They're assholes and always have been.

Honestly, ive seen people act accordingly and still get tickets when I was in school. Opd really its bad, but not just because of what happened lately. They have been for years. They wont just let kids be kids, to a certain extent if you catch my drift...

You are basically assured at least one alcohol charge while you're a student in Oxford.

Doesn't Ole Miss have a new policy that you're kicked out of school after 3 alcohol arrests (and suspended or something after 2?), even if they occur in town?

I got nailed down with a spotlight late one night in Dallas doing the Mangus thing. They told me that it was against the law to do that in public. I told 'em, that honestly, I hadn't seen anybody else around until they pulled up. They just laughed it off. I guess I was lucky.

Maybe Nutt and Company should worry more about their own players than our crippled running back.

I've been arrested after drinking less than a six pack in front of my condo. They don't give frick about what is legal. Plus not doing illegal shite during college, underage drinking for one, is for pussies.

I'm thinking David Lee's comment was actually made in reference to Hootie. He stated, "that's Houston". I may be wrong but I don't think Lee really wanted to stir anything up, but the writer threw the comment in there anyway.

2 strike policy. If you get arrested on-campus or get an alcohol ticket on campus, you get a strike. If you get a DUI at all anywhere, you get a strike (granted Ole Miss isn't likely to hear from DUIs outside of Oxford really). If you get two strikes, you're out for a semester.
