Falcons have a pretty decent defense they just allow a ton of yardage in the 4th quarter because the offense has scored so much already they're trying to run clock.

Point is, Clowney had season ending injuries his 1st 2 seasons and came back from a surgery that ends many careers to have a stellar year. Beasley had a great year yes, but compare the stats from both in the first full healthy NFL season. Clowney > Beasley...albeit two different positions where stats don't tell the entire truth, but who cares about those details. Blank Clemson

So, (and I cant believe Im defending Clemson... lord forgive me) your argument is that Clowney's first two years don't count because he was injured and that we should compare his year this year to Beasley as a rookie?
Clowney is a helluva player, but even him over Ford this year is questionable just based on stats. (now I don't have the PFF grades and such, which I would suspect may grade Clowney more favorably in stuff that doesn't show on the statsheet.)
Beasley- 35 Total Tackles, 14.5 sacks, 6 FF, 1 Fum Rec
Clowney- 49 Total Tackles, 5 sacks, 1 FF
Ford- 36 TT, 10 sacks, 1 FF

Yes that was partially my argument. If you were taught to read everything from start to finish, you would have seen my last bit.
"...albeit two different positions where stats don't tell the entire truth, but who cares about those details. Blank Clemson"
I recognize Beasley and Ford are good, but trying to compare stats between two LBs and a DE in a 3-4 system is like comparing apples to oranges because they're not the same.

What will he do you ask?
Dee Ford - Piano Man
LINK
A true Renaissance man.
He was drafted as a sack specialist, and has had more sacks this year than Clowney has had in his NFL career.

Maybe he can get a Pro Bowl bid for stoking the ivory. Do they do that?

I read from start to finish. I also read that Clowney is listed as a LB on ESPNs stat page where I pulled my info from, and didn't bother to check the Texans depth chart to confirm nor have I watched them play long enough this year to see Clowney was playing DE instead of OLB in that system.
I only brought up the stats as well because your original statement was that Clowney's stats in his first healthy year was better than Beasley's... I do think he is a better player, though

Congrats to Clowney and his breakout season with 5 sacks. Looks like Dee Ford and his 10 sacks will be sitting at home.

You do more that All Pro and Pro Bowl are two different things? But congrats on Clowney finally not being a complete bust. You must be proud.
