Perhaps if your post wasn't dripping with Clemson bias, I could take those opinions seriously. Just enjoy having Dabo while you can, because we'll see just how much better Clemson is when Alabama decides to take what they want.

Clemson has recent wins over 3 of the program in the top 5 of the playoff rankings.

can't win the big game? lol

And we won the biggest game of the year so far, Clemson vs ND, 1 vs 5.

Every game is a big game. and Clemson wins more than most.

it cracks up how non-Bama fans suck up to Bama on here. there is nothing special about Bama compared to other large state schools. We have all football stadiums, facilities, fanbases, etc.

they will take what they want. lol I don't care if Dabo leaves, if that is what he wants. I'm skeptical he will leave though b/c why leave if you are winning where you are at. I don't see the payoff unless he just wants to be back in Bama. Most ppl who get out of Bama never want to go back.

Clemson can't even beat South Carolina. If Clemson was in the SEC West Dabo would have been fired two years ago.

Please. He's better than three or four losses a year at freakin' Clemson.

Dabo has beat SC twice, and bad last year, should win big this year. 3-5 against SC during their best decade is ok. will be favored against next year in Clemson for 4-5.

also have wins in past decade over ND, Ohio State, Auburn twice, LSU, UGA, TN, KY, BCS Va Tech team (twice in one season), FSU.

No big wins? C'mon man.

Clemson beat SC worse than any SEC team last year, on both sides of the ball as well.

SEC schedule?

The SEC isn't that good anymore, you lost all 4 rivalry games with ACC last year and most of your bowl games last year. my opinion there are only 4 decent SEC teams this year, LSU, Bama, Ole Miss and Miss State. at least 2 of those could finish unranked.

NC State QB better than any SEC QB this year in my view.

For what it's worth, I love Clemson and I want them to win it all this year since Arkansas is clearly not going to. That said, I'm not going to lie to myself and pretend that Alabama is not on a different overall level than the rest of the country in football right now. I think maybe you're just really bad at this baseless assumption business.

Yeah, over a dozen national championships and the constant brand recognition that comes with consistent winning - including three NC's in the past six years, and being the flagship in a state located in insanely fertile recruiting grounds.

Nothin' special there.

you are missing my point.

Saban is the reason Alabama is attractive to good players.

It isn't about Alabama itself.

He's the only coach with titles and NFL head coaching experience. obviously that helps recruiting.

You guys always say SEC is better than ACC but then say Dabo should go to Bama if he wants to win titles. what is the point of better recruiting, as you see it, if playing in a stacked conference.

Again, ANYONE Alabama hires after Saban is going to have built their resume against weaker competition, unless they plan on hiring a current SEC-W HC. The ACC is at least a P5 conference that's been sending like 9 and 10 teams a year to Bowl games. The ACC broke the SEC's NC streak, also.

Bama could do worse than Dabo. Could they do better? Maybe. I'd like to see the comprehensive list of candidates who are clearly better than Swinney.

Dabo and Jimbo are probably our best most realistic options. Id rather have Dabo. Been on that train for a while.

one reason I decided to Clemson, plus near the mountains.

not every football player gets all excited about Alabama football tradition, as you see it, and wants to go there for that reason. they care about the campus, the size of the school, majors, and other things not even related to football. And Clemson is considered a top program in football by most sports fans not obsessed with the SEC. Have a great stadium, facilities, traditions, etc.

There is a good chance Deshuan Watson liked Clemson b/c it is a good bit smaller than UGA and other SEC schools. If Dabo was at Bama he would have missed on Watson.

still don't see how Bama is better job than Clemson other than can pay more due to more alumni

Clemson all time wins - 697
Alabama all time wins - 858 (that's +161 wins compared to Clemson)

We could do it for national titles, conference titles, NFL draft picks, college football HOFers, NFL HOFers, college football all americans, NFL pro bowlers, 10+ win seasons, recruiting, salary, conference. You name the metric and Bama is going to come out ahead of Clemson when it comes to college football.

As for Dabo, he'd crawl back to Tuscaloosa for the job. Today. Over broken glass. I hope he gets it too. The tough thing for him is he's likely getting 50 calls this week from friends and family who want tickets to the game this weekend. That would be increased 10 fold if he came to Bama and the stresses and pressure on him would be greater. Also, all his boys know is Clemson. I'm pretty sure only one was born before he went up there. That may be a tug for him b/c he could be king there for a long time, but he can be a legend who came home one day at Bama...and an extremely well paid one at that.

Alabama is pushing Auburn for all time most cheating too. You always leave that out.

Don't make me go back over the fact that Clemson was a small military college until 1965. Bama's always been much bigger and was a flagship school vs Clemson a small agricultural college.

lol at Dabo 'crawling over broken glass' to go live in a mill town in Bama. I don't think you get Dabo at him. Dabo would enjoy winning titles out of the underdog ACC conference to piss off SEC people.

A coach who didn't give a shite about working hard or recruiting beat your arse five years in a row. The worst defense he ever had STILL required your head coach to risk Watson's long-term health just do he could get a victory-a rare one, at that.

Go ahead and mark this year as a victory if you like. But deep down in your tater heart, you know Dabo fears risking a shot at the playoffs against a team that has straight owned his arse.

makes more sense than "Alabama tradition'. the kids don't care about that in my view. If Alabama has some bad years, kids will go to other colleges to play, even though Bama still has 'more tradition'.

ALl I'm talking about is Clemson itself should be easier to recruit than mill towns in flat areas in Bama. mopst people grow up in flat areas and being near the mountains has an allure.
