Not being Auburn would be a good start.

I can't speak for the fan base, but I am happy being in the game when we expected to lose at least 3, going 11-1
Nobody, and I mean nobody, expected UGA to lose 3 games this year with the weak schedule they have. Most preseason rankings had UGA either top 3 or top 5 at worst. Most projected a record of 11-1 or 12-0. You guys have a had a good season, but let's stop acting like you guys overachieved this year. You are exactly what everyone expected you to be. A very good, top 5 team. UGa hasn't overachieved this year and your season will be defined, like or not, based on what happens tomorrow in Mercedes Benz.

LOL, you are probably the worst Auburn poster on here.
And no, we beat Auburn all the time, it's not that special anymore.
I will hang my hat on the fact that we are the youngest team in the conference and went 11-2 (probably 12-2)
Auburn will be lucky to get 7 wins next year. Must suck.

yep. But any fan that is not a Bama fan would be fairly happy w/ this teams progress. Simply living up to expectations is kind of a new thing for us. If you cant see whats being built your not really paying attention.

It's hard to overachieve when you were expected to go 11-1. But the East was FAR better than expected and we still dominated. I'll take it.
But yes, our season will be defined by 9:00 tomorrow night.

Think so?
It certainly seemed like that mid year, but less so now.

There was plenty of people in the actual fanbase that thought Georgia would go 10-2 in the regular season and take a bit of a step back this year, and that actually looked like it was going to happen instead of what the consensus thought in the media was until after the bye.
And the schedule ended up being not so bad in the end.

Lost steam for sure. But remember preseason, thoughts were the only reason any SECE team other than UGA would win is because they played each other and someone had to.

Ironically, much of that had to do with AU being so over-rated

By SRS even after what happened later it was still a massive leap forward from 2017. Everyone was mediocre or bad after Georgia in 2017, this year the change is there was 3 decent teams instead of 2 mediocre teams and 4 bad teams.
It's certainly not what we saw in 2012-2013 but it was much closer to that than what we saw last year. Question is, given a couple of the teams involved, was it a one off and will we be back to seeing an East that is complete shite next year outside of a couple teams?

And judging by your posting style, I have to assume that the last time Auburn beat us in Athens, you were discovering your lil weenie for the first time.

All we heard during the offseason is how UGA lost 36 seniors. Maybe people didn’t predict 3 loses, but due to a perceived weak schedule, many thought UGA would fall into an 11-1 record. No one predicted LSU, Kentucky and Florida would outperform their preseason expectations. Prior to the SCAR game, this entire board was on the Cocks bandwagon. After the drubbing in Baton Rouge, UF was the sexy pick. Then it was Kentucky. I’d say 11-1 with 70% FR and SO is pretty amazing. It just says that Kirby is still heading in the right direction, this isn’t the 9-3/10-2 Richt team anymore.
