Well, the intent of the thread I think was to question when he will learn to stop talking so much.
It's working only if you agree that negative press is a good thing.
His comments were inaccurate in that a lot of schools are recruiting well and are not under scrutiny. They were also laced with "Look at me, I'm great and that's why they hate me".
He would be fine if he learned to bite his tongue but to each his own.
Having said that, it could be that he hasn't learned how to deal with reporters yet to get his real message out. He may just need some coaching on responding to reporters. They will bait at every opportunity. See Kelly and Fowler last night and I remember Urban being called a whiner for answering championship game questions in 06.

I wish that he would shut up on certain things, but sometimes I find that someone has to say it. This is not a dig at Florida fans but cum's excuse about the game being close and not a blow out was the swine flu, come on don't be a bitch. Call it as you see it, sure kiffin played conservative and kept the game closer and a fumble by Tebow kept the game closer than it should have been, but call it like that.

Was Meyer asked about the flu or did he just come out and say we didn't kill them because of it?
Big difference.
Big difference.

I talked to Lane a few seconds ago... He told me he would proceed to practice humility, the moment every other teams fanbase detaches from his ball sack... Which means never...
You guys are borderline obsessive with this shite every day... I think some of you have a homosexual crush on him, and it bothers you, because you get that tingly feeling in the nether regions when you see him on TV, and it frightens you, so you lash out with thread after thread of foolishness and vitriol to mask over the fact you bust one for him every other night in the privacy of your computer office.

You've been a member since Sept. and you don't know that obsession is a requisite for membership in The SEC Rant? I'm obsessively shocked.

you wouldn't have a problem with what we're saying if you didn't believe it... and because it IS the truth, we talk about it... and it's kiffin's own fault we talk of it.

I'd rather have a coach who is brash and tells it like it is than one who lies out the side of his mouth.

Even more reason to know obsession is a requirement.

That's what makes Kiffin so talented. He can tell it like it is and lie at the same time.

"What will it take to humble Kiffen"?
(1) Video Evidence of him with the "Hostesses" at the No-Tell Motel in Knoxville.
(2) Getting whupped again next year as usual.
(3) His Hot wife tells him "Adios Sucka"
(4) All Of The Above.

touche... It just wears me out reading thread after thread about him.... We get it, everyone hates him but us... we're on a sinking and burning ship... he's a douche, a twatwaffle, a b*tch and an idiot. He rides his dads coattails, he's a brat.... I'm sure I'm forgetting around 5,678,435 other descriptions...

they are recruiting well, but, once again, his statements are a crock of shite. he makes it sound like the ncaa scrutinizes only programs that recruit well. so bama, lsu, uf , ohio state, etc, etc aren't scutinized that much. wonder why that is. COMMON SENSE would tell anyone with any COMMON SENSE that he brings shite on himself with his arrongant, immature, authority bashing comments. ie, the slimey sob is to blame for this scrutiny, not recruiting well. it amazes me how people continue to be taken in by this snake oil salesman.

I would say another 5-6 win season will humble him slightly. Next year, Tennessee will be worse than they were this year, and he'll shut up by that time. All the diarrhea at the mouth is getting him in trouble anyways.

"Pride Goeth before destruction and a Haughty Spirit before a Fall"
Another verse (This is Kiffen) "But FOOLS despise Wisdom and Instruction" Can I get a witness?!! LOL

LandosPimpStache, my big problem with him, and i can't speak for everyone else, is that he just seems to take away from the integrity of the other coaches in the SEC. Now, i know that they aren't perfect, and i know that they sometimes talk about each other, but i just have a problem with how he came into the league and how he has seemed to try and elevate himself up to the same level as other coaches not by winning, but by talking. That to me is just the wrong way to do it. I know that you have to bring some meaning back to your school's program, and i am fine with that, but his blatant disregard for manners and also his disregard for the rule book just strikes me as someone that is uneducated and just plain unintelligent. I for one am not frightened by him at all, i am more worried that he will bring more coaches like him into the sec that try and do more with their mouth than on the field. Other than that, i could really care less what he says or does.

His assistants bolting after one year, tells a lot. If most of these coaches want to stay in the south they realize they better get away from him to keep their reputations intact. Kiffin can get away with that stuff out West as an assistant at USC.
