I think it's called getting a one up in a conversation vs your opponent. It's FUN to say Auburn has never won a NC as Auburn. It adds to the already well known stigma that Auburn fans don't truly believe they'll ever get one. Hence the thread topic.

The people's championship thing sucks for Auburn. It's as if they were trying to give themselves a consolatory prize and -really- believe in it. At least Alabama fans have never created a trophy and tried THAT hard to consider themselves champions.
I didn't remember the post-game on-field onslaught. That's hilarious how much that means to them. I guess I understand it though.

The amount of folks predicting Bama domination drives me insane. Colt WILL be throwing a lot of passes that are caught in front of his receivers on quick routes. This is how they will attack us. He's a sick, sick QB. This will be a great game.
