Bama is Bama until they’re not.. I still see them as being top tier.
Right now, they're not. Georgia is the new Bama.

So you learned from yesterday Arkansas is Tier 3? Nice.
They dodged the bullet. I did think about moving them down, but they are undefeated with arguably the toughest schedule in that tier to this point outside of Kentucky.

I think the UT/UF matchup will tell us a lot about the Vols next week. UT’s qb is great, but he randomly makes some errant throws that will cost him against a decent defense. Only reason Pitt was in that game a few weeks ago.

We still don’t know much bc it’s week 3?
Yes. That's correct. This is based on what we've seen through 3 weeks. The tiers are not locked. The rest of the season will be played. Teams can move up, unless you're UGA, or down.
As far as the 7 teams thing, hard to win with the way Bama and UGA recuits. This has been proven since Saban renentered the conference.
Better have 1. Dynamic QB with at least top fifteen type recruiting around him. And a dynamic Dlineman that will wreak enough havoc to cover up holes in your defense.
2. Recruiting on the same level as Bama.
3. Recruiting a tier slightly lower than Bama but pick up a first round Heisman winning QB from the portal and give him arguably the two best WRs currently in the NFL.

The math checks out. I'd agree with this rating with big moves either direction coming up next Saturday

How is Bama tier 2? Their near loss against Texas looks even worse than it did before. The decline is real and started in the national championship game.
THIS
Bama will have a loss or two this year. Tennessee will likely roll the tide in the third week of October

Lol, Ole Miss is in tier 2. They haven’t played anyone with a heartbeat yet. We will find out soon how good they are

Here are the REAL tiers based upon THIS season so far:
UGA/Tennessee
Ole Miss
Bama/Kentucky/Arkansas
LSU
State/Florida
The rest are so effin terrible that they belong in the freakin sun belt this year.

Will be some funny shite when Kentucky beats your asses and you don’t make SEC champion game.

"How is Bama tier 2"
Perennial preseason national champ logic.
Perennial preseason national champ logic.

No doubt, we would take a lot of shite over here for that.
That has been possible by the way two other times heading into that game in Kirby's tenure. Last year and 2018. I suppose some of you were waiting with anticipation then as well.

Georgia is tier 1 because they beat up a tier 5 team?

Not at all. If I had said this is a national championship prediction, that would be correct.
What this was is where these teams stand as of right now based on what I've seen.
Again, we're in week 3 and it's based on what I've seen on the field through week 3.
What is not considered...
-What a team has done outside of this season including Georgia.
-What people thought of a team going into this season, including Georgia.

I agree with the OP. Bama is not very good. We’re back there on the Rest of Y’all bus as Dabo Swinney likes to say. Little ole Bama just hopes to go to a good bowl game.

NO. They're tier 1 because they've beaten everyone they've played soundly and one of those teams looks pretty good outside of Georgia's win and should be pretty well within the top 25 this week.
