1980 UGA vs. S.Carolina IIRC, SC was either an independent, or ACC member at that time.

LSU / UF in 1997 wasn't my first one, but it was my most memorable one. I went to a lot of games when I was younger, but I really wasn't as interested.

This.
However, the first game I remember was LSU/UK basketball in 1994.

Ole Miss - 1994. Our season had started out on the suck, and I can remember debating even going to the game. We partied a bit with some Ole Miss fans (pretty classy guys), and I can remember thinking we were going to get stomped.

We ended up blowing the doors off Ole Miss (don't recall the score), and I could only imagine how bad it sucked to drive home after loosing to a pretty horrific Razorback squad.

1987-LSU vs. Ohio State. Ended in a 13-13 tie.

Erik Andolsek and Chris Speilman got into a fight before the game. Awesome stuff.

My family is originally from ATL. The first game I went to was UGA visiting GaTech in the early 60's. I don't remember exactly which year. I had 5 uncles play at GT, and one of them was playing that year. Those GT uncles always thought my dad was an oddball. He was offered a FB scholarship to UGA and GT, but he chose to play basketball at WKU for EA Diddle. Southern kids just didn't play BB as a first choice at the time.

First game was LSU-MSU and it was the last time State beat them, so i think either '98-'99. Not really sure.

First Ole Miss game was OM-Tulane in 2000.

The Red Towel. He must have been on one of Diddle's last teams. When did Oldham take over?

Miss St. at Bama, 2002. I remember some drunk guy a few rows back would scream, "Get off the field Jackie" every 30 seconds

No, he played for Diddle well before he retired. Diddle was using a white towel when he played there. Diddle went to the red towel later in his career. After Diddle died, we were watching WKU on TV, and they were doing a dedication at the school, and someone mentioned that Diddle was "looking down on them." My dad made a funny noise and said, "I am pretty sure that Coach Diddle isn't looking down."
