What was the first SEC game you remember going to?

I have to say the Alabama Arkansas game in 98, Nutts first year was the first real SEC I went to, we had an open date at SMS. The first SEC game I went to was the 1980 LSU Tulane game.

either GA/FLA 1996 or 1995. i saw many before that but the ones i remember are around then. also remember 1997 pretty well

1993 Arkansas/Ole Miss game in Jackson, MS. I was 7 years old. I remember being at the game and Ole Miss winning (just remember Dad being happy)....but I don't remember anything particular about the game.

LSU beat Florida 24-3 and would play Penn St in the Orange Bowl
I remember someone spilling beer on me and I played with my matchbox cars on the old man's leg next to me, I was 5 1/2
I remember the actual game the second time in 1979 vs Bama, LSU lost 3-0
eta: A bunch of puppies on this board I see.....ahh the good old days

LSU / UF in 1997 wasn't my first one, but it was my most memorable one. I went to a lot of games when I was younger, but I really wasn't as interested.

shite you're right. yea, i missed those. i used to go to every GA/FLA so i was just guessing the time period i would remember because the games all run together now. i guess now i'd say 1997 GA/FLA because i remember that one to a T

I know the first SEC basketball game I ever saw was LSU AR both occasions. The 1981 Regional Semi's in the Dome. I went to watch LSU play AR in Barnhill first year they joined SEC, used my grandparents tickets for that one.

Bama @ LSU 7-7 tie in the late 80s. I touched an LSU player's helmet coming out of the NEZ tunnel.

I lived in Virginia prior to 1992. In ACC country you don't get to see many SEC games on TV.
