Double Decker sounds "gay"? Yeah, I guess music, food, drinking, and baseball are all really "gay" when mixed together all in one day. FWIW, I hope you get a ticket and get to come to the "gay" Double Decker festival. You would quickly realize that your opinion of "gay" is slightly off.

And maybe he'll realize that "gay" means homosexual and when used as an insult it makes him sound like a 9th grader.

Yeah, but he is obviously "too cool" to realize that sort of thing.

meh whatever, not going to get in a pissing contest about something I've never been to. As it was explained to me, DD was sort of like an art fair or something during the day. Is this incorrect? The music/party at night sounds cool though.

I hope I get to go as well, though it would have to be a return trip after the game Saturday, so I couldn't go to the night part of DD anyway. Do they do anything on Friday night?

And I like my beer cold, so I'll continue to stop in Batesville, asshat.

I had a few people thinking about making the trip up this weekend. After reading about DD I hope it happens.

Not specifically for Double Decker, so you're screwed. During the day, their are tents with art and such, but also local food vendors and music in the afternoon/night.

I am from Batesville.

Really, how old are you? You still call everything "gay" and call people "asshats" when they call you out on it. Awesome

I like Batesville. And the "asshat" wasn't directed at you, but your Caterpillar boy who apparently invented DD and wrote the alcohol laws for Oxford. He got rather defensive in a hurry.

I've had some good times in Oxford, never been to a baseball game though. Hopefully that changes this weekend. Especially Friday night when Pom gets shelled for the 1st time this year.

Great baseball stadium. I actually like it slightly better than ours (shhhhh)

Not sure how it sounds gay but seriously, how did it get its name? Have been hearing about for some time but have never an occasion to come. You all ought schedule MSU during the weekend one year and we schedule you all for Super Bulldog Weekend the next. That would be some crowds.

The double decker buses that ride around town for transportation

You may win, but I can promise he won't get "shelled". Should be a very good game Friday night. Wouldn't be suprised if there were less than 3 runs total. Lord knows we won't score a lot the way we have been hitting it

Its called Double Decker because there are two stages, one on each side of the square.

"shelled" is just wishful thinking - dude is badass.

Though as you stated, 1 or 2 runs could be enough for the win on Friday. If a game is going under 2 hours this year, that will be the one.

I thought it was for the Double decker buses that have become so well-known on the square and whatnot? I could be wrong though..

For you old school ranters, my boy SirRohan is coming up for the series this weekend. Looking forward to getting crunk with that lil bastard.

That is a joke right?

It is called that because the city of Oxford brought over a Double Decker bus from London and it rides around with tourists in it.

Serious? I've never seen them, lived here 5 years. Do they drive around campus too?

I was saying there is cold beer closer than Batesville. Try Walker's County Line. But it's whatever.

And I got defensive because I hate it when people knock on Oxford and the tings that happen here when they either haven't been here or didn't know what to do when they did visit. Double Decker is the shite. Period.

No, usually just around the square. Sometimes they take it to Taylor for "privileged guests". It will be out and about this weekend. Keep your eyes peeled, it's the only big, two storied, red bus in town.

Haha, I know I see it all the time, and yeah they do drive around campus from time to time. Usually with groups of kids for whatever reason.
