I grew up in Texas, in the foothills of the hill country. frick TEXAS. The fact that most of your fans say none further proves you have no business being in the SEC. Get off your high horses you smug SOB's.
I say Arkansas, more specifically NWA, it's a beautiful area up there. You can live out in the country and still be very close to good shopping, dining, etc. There's a ton of outdoor things to do, fishing, etc. It's really a great area.

Do not live in an SEC state, and never will again if I can help it. Only two cities in SEC states I'd even consider would be Atlanta and Miami.

Been to Texas. Nothing special.
If I had to leave Alabama.... I love the Smokies, so Eastern Tennessee, Northern Georgia, or Western NC.

The Memphis area, whether it be TN or MS. Would prefer Shelby County though(not city of Memphis)
What? Germantown maybe and only then if you have bars on your windows and live in a gated community with full-time security guards. Bartlett, Raleigh-Egypt, Fraiser, Cordova, Highland Heights, Whitehaven ... all lost to major crime.
I have to ask, are you African American by chance?
Anyways, Mt Dora, Florida is a nice place.

No I'm white, and Germantown/Collierville area is a place I would not mind moving to at all.
You can get shot anywhere, I won't live in fear. NOLA has crime problems, but if you use something called common sense, you are fine.
I know not to go hang out in Orange Mound or something like that.
Not to mention Memphis has the best BBQ.

and if you like blues. I went to their spring music festival up on the levee a couple of times, had a great time.

Might not be as good of a music scene, but it is still better than a lot of places.
I still want to make it up sometime for the BBQ cookoff for Memphis in May.
And for when I have a family, they have good public schools(or did). Depends I guess if Germantown splits from Shelby County/city schools

Love Sarasota and can't imagine being anywhere else. If I had to move, I would probably go to Charleston or Atlanta.

Good. More beef barbecue and Shiner bock beer for us.

Coastal Georgia - Savannah, St. Simons or Bruswick FTW!
