Well....I'll go ahead and say what's already been said (because I believe it): I think he is a good man who has very few peers in the character department. Family man. A person of faith. Under his leadership, the UGA football program hasn't really had the NCAA on it's back for "certain issues" that have been present elsewhere- and I think that says a lot about the program he runs.
But today, it's all about winning. Look at LSU. CLM has lost one- ONE- game on a Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium in the years he's been our head coach- and right now there are people who want him GONE after the loss this week at Florida.
The Fear Of "The Big Downfall"; The Burning Desire To Win "The Ultimate Prize".
I feel bad for the situation Richt is in- because the sports world needs guys like him to be successful; guys who can win by doing things the right way. But I also understand the frustration of the UGA fanbase when they ask 'Hey-why not us??'
I wish him the best- except against LSU.

quote:That's a fact. Take a look at LSU's and UF's last two MNC's. You'll see that they were in 4th place or more going into the final season of the BCS and two or more teams above them lost bumping them into the top two spots in the BCS poll. Breaks are needed to make it to the MNC. But, Richt still needs to go.
UGA just didn't get the breaks in 02 and 07.

I think Richt is a good coach and getting beat down by Spurrier at night at USCe doesn't change that. USCe would have been hard for anybody to beat on that night.
What would bother me if I was a UGA fan is the lack of emotion Richt shows. He was down 21-0 and his facial expression looked like he was watching a rerun of Bob Newhart. That more than anything would make me want another coach.

I once thought that he was a good man until he decided that he needed to be FSUn to be more successful. Just like Bowden, puts the faith thing front and center while the players get in as much or more trouble than other programs.
Thought not though, crap I can't spell today.

I sure hope so. I'm sick of hearing his jibberish about how good each play call is on MNF. You can tell he misses it.

You would think it would be easy to get a legit HC with all the talented players UGA has.

You were talking tons of shite about LSU during the Florida game so Hope you keep him forever.

Honestly, I don't think that I as an LSU fan, or yourself as a Bama fan has much business lecturing anyone about players doing bone-headed things on their own....

IMO, and said many times before, this guy gets a bad rap from many UGA fans, while it is easy to say UGA has underachieved because they have not won NC and only 2 secs in last 30 years, there is a TON to be said for a guy who wins every year and will never make your Univ look bad (unlike your president), if Richt stays 10 more years UGA will go to 10 bowls, win a sec or two, maybe win an nc..what more can you ask?

That's what I said, but Les and Nick are not shoving that faith thing in our faces either.
