Kirby is a pretty bad sideline coach and not known as some kind of game scheming savant either. Also, he hasn't been much of a talent evaluator (Fields vs Fromm) or talent developer (failures with D-Rob, Fromm decline, etc.)

His value is that he knows the system of recruiting that Saban uses and has been able to stockpile talent like Saban.

But with NIL money pouring in, knowing how to manage bagmen and bribe high school coaches isn't going to be as important as it used to be.

Is Kirby's value dropping?

I don't think there's much money in pushing the lesbian bowl haircut for SuperCuts.

Kirby will have his most talented offense this year. If he can't deliver this year, then I will say yes his value is dropping.

That's my thoughts, too.

This year we basically play Clemson and Florida. The schedule is very soft in conference, so an East title is basically the floor.

Failure to beat Saban is basically overall failure. Losing the East is almost a fireable offense.

Hilarious, every school accept 3-4 would take his amazing accomplishment in his first 5 years as a head coach. Some of you are just fricking stupid.

Another example of how insane the SEC fanbase is. Tennessee fan, a TENNESSEE fan being like "yea Kirby kinda sucks" even though we absolutely kick the shite out of you every single season and bring in top 4 recruiting classes. Yeah, Kirby can't coach lol

You guys are the ones paying him. Is it?

Check back after this season. The law of SEC diminishing returns is kicking in soon.

IMO, yes. The shine is off the penny.

If he doesn't deliver this year, it's time to start looking.

We held on too long with Richt, we don't need to repeat that error. I think we missed the boat by not dumping Kirby and hiring Urban when he was still available.

When did you guys have a legit chance to hire Urban?

I don't think we ever went after him.

But I feel like if we had backed up the Brinks truck, we'd have had him.

Instead we stood pat with the company man that gets outcoached by Orgeron.

The fukin goober has nothing to hang his hat on. He’s accomplished nothing that coaches get graded on. He’s been a huge underachiever with the talent he has at his disposal. Win something limpdick or get rid of him.
