How many college football fans and/or “experts” would e bitching and complaining that
Georgia
Ohio State
Bama
Didn’t get in?
How many bama fans would be bitching that they didn’t get in?
Do your best to be honest

The playoffs would have been canceled

Their basketball team would ensure this would never happen.

I was prepared for any of Bama, FSU or Texas being left out. Glad the committee valued that win over the 2 time defending champs so highly.
Hope you enjoy the game, Gravy.

IDK, I've posted that for me, based on pre-season scrimmages and how this year started, I was thrilled just to play in the SECCG.
Winning the SEC was a huge bonus.
Making the CFP was amazing.
So no, just based on earlier expectations, we've already gone way past the point where it's all gravy (pun intended).

Can we quit this shite please? All the shite has been thrown already, just cause you ate and need to throw shite on the board again doesn’t mean you should. Put that shite in the toilet

It would be what it is today. This side bitching, this side justifying.
Everybody keeps asking what was the right way to do this. The answer is there was no right way. There was only wrong ways and FSU was unlucky. You had an SEC champ that didn't lose a conference game, with the 5th strongest SOS and beat the number one team in the nation with it's only loss coming to a team that also made the playoffs. You had an undefeated FSU that won its conference, had a schedule of 55th and had unimpressive wins BUT they were unbeaten. No decision was gonna be the right one but a decision had to be made. Again, FSU just ended up on the wrong end of a decision that had no right answer.

Similar to last year, I would think that we (Bama) have a better team than some that got in the Playoffs - looking at you TCU. However, I wouldn't have one insane and threatened to sue the Playoff Committee. I would have simply been happy that we beat UGA and won an SEC Championship. Compared to where our season looked to be headed earlier in the year, I was proud of the team.
Being in the Playoffs is an absolute bonus, and I'm excited to see what we can do

Anybody not bitching about a team with a SOS so soft that it was ranked below G5 teams getting in over a 1-loss SEC Champion either doesn’t watch football or has an agenda.

We weren't incorrigible when we were left out last year.

I was prepared for us to be left out. I’d be a little disappointed. I damn sure wouldn’t be making post after post crying about it.

No one but the Gumps and their sister wives would be bitching about Bama not getting in.

You asked a question. If your point was that fans of a team that won the SEC culminating with a victory over the undefeated number one team would be disappointed if that team was left out of the playoff, congratulations captain obvious. Surely, you wouldn’t argue that LSU fans would’ve been happy to be left out in a similar situation?

I agree with you.
But there would be no outrage that bama didn’t make it in.
The “expert” arguments continue to fall flat.
Today an “expert” said the committee took the “path of least resistance.”
This couldn’t be further from the truth.
The path of least resistance would be to put the undefeated conference champion in.
Very few would have bitched or complained, as you and other bamas are admitting
(Acting like y’all are above that and proving my point)
The narrative would be about who’s going to win what games
And FSU will have a hard road without their starting QB
But maybe the backup QB with additional practices could close the gap.
Not the third string true freshman, which is another false narrative
