lets say UT goes 9-4 would yall buy that or say hes fricked and will be fired, and a new coach comes in to replace him.

lol wut?

9-4 he is fine. 8-5 could go either way. Worse than that he is 100% gone.

The decision will likely be made before the bowl game. 9-3 would certainly get him another year. 8-4 may get him another year, but not for sure. Also, 8-4 is not a 'good' year, regardless of the bowl game.

The only thing it would do is buy Dooley another year i.e. Shula after 2005.

Only 2-3 seniors starting next season. Could buy him two more years.

Tennessee fans need to drop this pathetic mentality. Are we going to get lucky and get someone like Saban? Extremely doubtful.

Can we better than Dooley? It's almost guaranteed.

Agreed. But the 2013 schedule is much worse.

I think people are a little gun-shy because of the terrible reputation of our big money players and athletic department being unwilling to shell out big bucks for a top-flight coach.

I agree. However, UT:

1. is willing to spend this time
2. probably won't be making the hire right before signing day.

FWIW, I think Dooley goes 9-4/8-5 this year and stays. One really bad recruiting class can bury you in the SEC, Kiffin's '09 class was really bad. They were thin, young, and injured last year. I don't believe he's the WORST thing for UT, they need some stability.

NC St - W
Ga St - W
UF - Toss Up
Akron - W
@ UGA - L
BYE
@ Miss St - Toss Up
Bama - L
@ USCe - L
Troy - W
Mizzou - Toss Up
@ Vandy - Toss Up
UK - W

If everything about Da'Rick and Bray is true though, he has to corral them for a year. Let Bray graduate and hope Da'Prick bolts for the NFL.

If he's 7-5 after the regular season, I would bet he doesn't get the bowl game.
