If Auburn gets a QB then yall will be dangerous. Is Franklin still 175 pounds? I know Marshall was bigger than that.

Hes listed at 185 or so. But he sent out a photo of himself on a scale at 192

With good QB play I would put Auburn at 5-3. Wins over Vandy, State, A&M, Ark, and one upset over either OM or UGA.

Craig never worked with the QBs at Auburn, he was our WR coach and our WRs got progressively worse every season under him. To the point where last season we arguably lost up to 3 games solely due to excessive drops by our WRs killing drives and stalling the offense. Good luck with him

So he went from QB coach at FSU to co-offensive coordinator/WR coach at auburn and you don't think he ever dealt with the QB?

He was QB coach at FSU by title only. Really he was there to recruit. Everybody knows Jimbo is the real QB coach at FSU, he's a QB guru that's what he's known for. Just like at AU Gus is the QB coach. Gus doesn't even let our guys work with private QB coaches in the offseason, so yeah I don't think he ever worked with QBs at Auburn.

And he was named Co-OC only last year so that we could give him a raise to make OC type money to keep him around for, you guessed it, his recruiting.

Y'all melted so bad on your board when y'all lost Craig but now y'all are glad he's gone.

Sounds like a dumb arse, if you ask me. Doesn't he know that his teams don't have very good QB play? Maybe a professional coach could help his players not suck?

In 2013 Nick Marshall had 1976 yards passing with 14 TDs & 6 INTs 1225 yards rushing with 12 TDs.

In 2014 Nick Marshall had 2532 yards passing with 20 TDs & 7 INTs 798 rushing yards and 11 TDs.

Pretty darn comparable numbers. One year you went 12-2, the other you lost 5 games. IOW..qb aint everything.

The real question is what if LSU finally gets good quarterback play? Then the sec is freaked.

I'm not glad he's gone. In fact, I'm disappointed Rhett Lashlee got more input with Auburn's offense than Dameyune Craig. Gus Malzahn's loyalty to him might eventually cost him his job.

I'm not a big fan of it either. But that's a pretty stupid statement. His "teams"? He's had one "team" with bad QB play. He had one guy mentally melt down after everybody thought he was going to be a stud based on him making your team Arkansas his bitch. His other teams had great QB play. He took a CB that threw more INT than TD in JUCO that everybody said was going to be terrible and turned him into one of the most dynamic QBs in the last decade and set passing records with him.

He'll have as much an impact on our qb play as Kevin Steele will have on your defense...care to wager who got the better deal?
