What I hate about the playoff discussions is when they spend time talking about crap that

can't happen.
Example discussing a UTK vs. UGA rematch in the first round is completely pointless right now. UGA will either be the two seed, a very low seed or miss entirely if they lose the next two. They can't be a middle seed.

Not true.
The committee can adjust the rankings to set the matchups they want.

No, man. If we lose three we are going to be like ten to 12.
Tennessee is gonna be a 6 or 7. They either win or they are out.
If we win the conference we'll be two or three.
My point is that rematch won't take place in the first round. If both teams are in, of course a rematch can still happen. My point is there is no point in talking about a second matchup between the two in Athens. It won't happen.

Worst part of expanded playoffs is the mental masturbation and pointless hypothetical arguments it produces for sports radio
There’s always been bs pundit fodder but now there’s so much more argument about some 3 loss team in the SEC/Big getting in over a 2 loss big 12 team and a lot less about actual football games and players.

Which is pretty much every post you've ever made. Didn't you just get out of jail for harassing people at Disney World about their influence on hiring and firing Florida's football coach?

Committee has made it clear they are gonna keep ranking during championship games.
IF UGA beats Tech and loses SECCG (to Texas), they have the door open to leave out UGA all the way. They can leave them right where they are (home playoff) or they can punish them and cause them to go on the road and be behind a team they recently beat.
UGA gets dropped harder if they lost to Texas A&M, possibly greater chance they are left out all together. If things stay the same it would be SMU or Miami that would have to get bumped to put A&M in unless they simply replace UGA w A&M.
Texas likely still keeps a home playoff game with a SECCG loss.
What of A&M if they get to SECCG and lose? Zero chance imo they put them in.

It won't happen in Athens. How clear can I make it.

Committee virtually locked that UGA won’t get home playoff (assuming they can beat Tech).
It is either a bye or it is out/bottom 4.

I’ve thought this and said it in other threads.. I think the committee will place the SEC teams against each other when it can to keep from having 3 SEC teams in the final 4, or god forbid an SEC national championship!
