Same thing that happened to the Ole Miss Men's Soccer team. They cancelled it due to lack of participation.

Not exactly.

Ole Miss never actually had a swim team--they gave swimming scholarships to baseball players (note the baseball equipment in the empty pool), and the Rebels were punished by the SEC.

That was also the last time that OM made it to the College World Series and the last time (before last year) that Ole Miss won the SEC in baseball.

Thanks for the misinformation......we actually DID have a swim team years ago. We have trophies 'n shite. I've seen 'em. And yes, I know all about the whole scholly thing.

ETA: And those three actually did participate in swimming events......soooooo.

And this thread kinda makes you look stupid. Are you trying to call out Ole Miss for something that happened almost 40 years ago?

well for Ole Miss you have to go back 40 or more years for anything significant to call them on or not having the word co starting off a banner...except for the tennis team...congrats...

Should the question be what happened to Ole Miss?

No Dixie, No Colonel Reb (The Ole Miss we booed when I was at LSU is history now I guess)

The SEC is poorer for this

If I were to go somewhere else in the SEC it would have been LSU. Got family down there and always have a good time in BR

They became relevant to you when you gave up on Mississippi State baseball.
