I'm aware of that passing yards Arkansas has given up.

Air raid offenses are not like the others.

Those short passes will bite them in the arse if they keep missing tackles.

Losing Catalon hurt a ton too.

They aren't going to be defending the same, they'll have extra dbs, their LBs will play more coverage and when they don't, they'll blitz, etc. The possibility that Leach may run it more is the only real wrinkle I see.

When they faced LSU, he did start running the ball when they dropped into coverage. First time I've seen him adjust that way.

The only reason LSU was effective in stopping them is they were able to play man and tackle in the open field.

That's still 2nd to last in the SEC west.

And that's why not a single LSU fan has named a team. You can't.

I mentioned A&M explicitly earlier especially because of Leach's history of success there.

They have a decent shot of finishing ahead Arkansas and Ole Miss as well. They are unlikely to finish ahead of LSU after the heads up loss and it would be very hard to believe they finished ahead of Alabama. But they have a fair shot of finishing anywhere between 2nd and 6th in the West.

Arguing these hypotheticals is silly at this point in the season. If Arkansas, Auburn, and MSU win this weekend we have a whole new set of facts (a bunch of. 500 teams)

Absolutely not! I was pissed when his name was even mentioned.

Napier = F- (could easily be 0-4, ruining a QB that was projected to go in the Top 15, looking like a fool trying to fight people)

Well he hasn't killed anyone yet, so there's that.

Leave it to LSU fans to give Napier an F so far. Good lord at the obsession.

Kelly gets a B from me, maybe a B+. Special teams have been anywhere from disappointing to atrocious each week, and the errors have all been things that really should never happen unless your coaching is terrible or your players are clinically retarded. Other than that he’s done an awesome job. With even passable special teams, we’re easily 4-0 and looking very good right now.

I don’t feel knowledgeable enough to grade Napier. I watched the Tennessee game and was unimpressed, but I was very impressed with what I saw of the Utah game and with the result. I think it’s inherently really difficult to evaluate the performance of a team you don’t heavily follow.

Competent LSU fans give him a C-, not an F.

I'd give Napier a B, Kelly a B+ just due to the roster reconstruction he had to do.

One coach is 2pts away from being undefeated, and currently 1-0 in SEC play.... and the other is 17pts away from being undefeated, and currently 0-2 in SEC play. A letter grade doesn't mean anything.

One coach has played 3 teams currently ranked in the top 12. The other hasn't.

Be honest, where do you think those teams will be ranked at seasons end?

I'm not watching Florida, so I can't give him a letter grade, but I like Napier.

I think he would have been a good hire for us, but with the state of our program, I think Kelly was a better hire.
