Dude. Do you honestly believe that if Franks had not gotten injured Mullen would have promoted Trask over him? When did Mullen give any indication whatsoever he was going to bench Franks? I'll be glad to listen to your convoluted explanation. Franks getting injured was the best thing that could have happened to Florida.

And being presented with quantifiable proof that he did improve, you are still unable to comprehend. I guess I could go into further evidence he improved, but that likely would go over your head as well. So, we leave it here. Have a good day, sweetheart. Try to keep your chin up, you're special!

Oh dear. then why were Florida fans so happy that Franks got injured?

Go ahead. Show me where it would have been so much better if Franks had stayed at Florida and continued to start.

You're special.

Didnt your coach start Fromm over Fields?

The difference being, Fromm never improved while at Georgia. Fields even needed insane work as noted by Day at OSU because of how lacking your coach is at QB development. Let's not forget he let Eason go, who turned out being a better QB than good Ole boy Fromm.

Kirby is as dysfunctional as it gets at handling QBs. We know. We had the same issue with Muschamp. When every QB falls short, it is time to blame the coach. It is Kirbys fault Georgia is in year 5 and has a walk on starter and no one else is ready and no one else.

UF on the other hand, has a Heisman contender and a lineage formed of clear starters in the future. Because Mullen knows how to develop QBs and it is not even debatable. He is one of the best in the game at it.

Made a big leap in '18 compared to '17. His numbers were fine in '19 WHEN he had all his guys healthy.

BTW,why didn't Franks improve at UF?

He did? Did you check out career numbers? Fromm had more TD's,less INT's and better QBR

On what planet does that constitute a better CFB QB?

Interesting. So how come it took an injury to start Trask over a far worse QB who never developed under Mullen?

Nobody ever called Kirby a QB guru. And Fromm was not as bad as franks was about throwing INTs at critical points of the game.

Wow. the conversation isn't about Fromm and Kirby. nobody is saying those decisions were great or even correct.

Florida fans (art least in this thread) seem to be saying that franks was steadily improving and it was a bad thing he got injured. Revisionist history.

Are you going to try to peddle that Y'all were quite happy with franks and felt bad that he got injured? Or that Mullen insisted on playing Franks when everybody knew he was a bad QB?

I mean, I don't really want to put in the time or effort, but I am sure I can pull up threads showing that Florida fans were complaining about Mullen NOT playing Trask and his insisting on playing Franks.

Did Trask?

Nice dodge and how long was Trask in the program before he started his first game? 4 years?

So what happened with Franks again? And how come it took an injury for an obviously better QB like Trask to start?

Fromm improved a shitload from his Freshman to Sophomore years and was fine in '19 as long as his receivers were healthy.

Wrong. He improved a lot from 2017 to 2018.

Wrong again.

Because franks got hurt, while trask and Jones didn’t seem to be very ambitious as backups.

Be thankful our heisman contenders had ambitions or quit before the season.

There is a large element of fortune involved here. You are giving the coaches way too much credit.

He finished like 8th in the country in Mullen first year lol won 10 games after only 4 wins the year before

Put up the best numbers a fla QB had in a long time. Those numbers continue to get better every year under Mullen

You should know what regression looks like for a QB after watching it with Fromm

So glad we got AR he's hometown kid and just the best specimen Mullen has had at QB since Tebow

6'4" 230 4.64 speed. Strongest arm at elite 11 throwing it like 70 yds

Wait. Wait. Wait just a minute. Are you telling me that a player improved going from a freshman to a sophomore to a junior? And he’s doing even better this year as a senior? Seriously? How is that possible?

I think Mullen is a goon and a try hard but he’s a solid offensive and QB coach. But this whole argument in this thread is stupid. Every player and situation is different. UGA has had three OC/QB coaches in three years. When UF had the same turmoil they looked horrendous.
