I heard a cool story the other morning about how John McDonnell wound up as Arkansas track coach.
Frank Broyle was looking for a track coach and one of his assistants told him there was a good high school coach down the road in Greenwood who had won some state championships.
Broyles said he could hire this guy and not even have to pay moving expenses.
One of the most successful coaches in track history hired on the cheap,haha....go figure..
