With the 12 team CFP, I want to be in it, at least play for the SEC title, and beat our rivals.

Of course beating your rivals helps in getting to the SECCG getting into the SECCG all but guarantees a spot in a 12 team CFP. After that, it is kind of a crap shoot.

Of course last year's CFP champ didn't beat their only rival and didn't play in their conference championship so those accomplishments aren't prerequisites.

Consistently make the playoffs

This year is a testament to Heupel to even be in the discussion. Down both starting Corners, lost the QB in the offseason, patchwork OLine and unknown WRs and the Vols are still looking at a playoff run.

Well, the season after we won back-to-back natties, we went 13-1 and trashed FSU with the largest bowl blowout in cfb history. That was considered by some a down year. The year after (last season), we went 11-3, won the SEC championship and was a game away from competing for the natty even with our backup QB. That too was considered by some a down year. (sigh).

I just like beating GT, the Vols, Auburn and UF all in the same season...which we've done pretty regularly since Kirby arrived in Athens.

When the playoffs first came out I thought now bama has a shot every year! But now it seems there’s so many more good teams and now we are not head and shoulders above most so it’s more rewarding just to make the playoffs than I thought it would be before it started.

The avoidance of a complete collapse seems to be our bar at present

In all seriousness, ending the season ranked in Top 10 is considered a success for me.
