Looks like there's gonna be an arms race between State and Ole Miss for stadium expansions.

i wonder what capacity will be officially. i've seen anywhere from 60-70k on SP.

Ha, I doubt it. We have to have a couple more decent years, and they will have to keep their numbers up. They should be a little closer though because their stadium is slightly smaller. Last year they had some big home games, we will have to just see how they do on an "off" schedule year. We are the same way this year

I honestly think it will be somewhere in the 65-68 range. Enough, but not too much

It always is. Thats why I wish they'd commit to it because we'd definitely would.
We got an IPF. Then they got one, sort of. We got a huge video board, they go and get one 1 foot bigger. We get an IPF for basketball they get one.
OM usually leads, but State literally follows days afterwards with their proposal of the exact same thing

Ole Miss needs to be in the 68-70 thousand range. I haven't been to Starkville in a while so I don't know where State needs to be.

As is their fan base. Plus their excitement w/ Mullen and amazing schedule had a lot to do with that. I cant imagine them selling more tickets than last year unless they win the west or something
We're probably equally as close, just one of has to commit to it so the other one is forced to.

Yeah, if they do ours, it will be 70 to 72 i'm guessing. I would bet anything though that when they do it, it will involve another rebel club. Too many people waiting to not include one.

yea they got to. If we had the money we really should tear the expansion we have on the East side and make it match the SEZ first. I know Boone is trying to see if we need the NEZ expanded and will gauge that this season, but I dont get why we dont make the East and West sides match the SEZ. That wouldnt add any unneeded seats, itd add a lot revenue with the two new rebel clubs and it'd make our stadium the nicest one in the SEC. Not the biggest, but the nicest. Then if we sell out of season tickets a couple more years, bowl in the NEZ with a low bowl and add suits on top that run into the video board

This is where the schools make their money. I would imagine all SEC schools have a long list of people waiting for club seats and suites. I know LSU does. Eventually, we will have to do another stadium expansion.

Hell yeah. Make the west really could use more renovation then anything. I would be interesting to see what happens, since there are numerous things that would definately help

Way too much. I would wait longer to make decisions like expanding 20,000. State had a home schedule that rarely happens, coupled with the euphoria of a good coaching hire. Mullen could become a hot commodity, what then? If State becomes consistent, then it would make sense.

Yeah, in the year 3000, stadiums will only have a student section and club/suites

Yea its more practical to leave East side alone since its not an eye sore and no one really sees that side just the suits. The West side on the other hand needs to be renovated badly. I hate driving down frat row and seeing that stupid arse helmet with Ole Miss written in it. Its terrible.
it obviously wouldnt look like this. Or atleast I hope it wouldnt. But just an idea of matching the SEZ with the East and West sides

The helmet might be the dumbest thing on a stadium in all of college football

Unless the two MS SEC schools plan to promote heavily south of Jackson, they won't be able to fill the stadiums. I'm not sure there's 140,000 people in MS north of Jackson.

That could be one of the dumbest things ever written. Don't be rediculous

I only said it to get a reaction. I live in MS. BTW, you need to learn to spell.
