No offense, but why WOULD State fans live in the past ?
You may want to ask Ole Miss fans this since they love reliving their glory days in the 50's and 60's before integration.
State fans are happy where Dan is taking us.

Both have played on CBS in recent memory.
I couldn't tell you the last time Arkansas had a season where at least one game wasn't televised on CBS...

State was pretty good while the rest of the college football teams' players were off fighting the Germans and Japan in WWII.

Shorty McWilliams, State's lone player to receive Heisman votes in 1946.

Ole Miss plays 1-2 games on CBS every year.
OM-LSU game is on CBS about every year
State hasn't had a game on CBS since 2005

Ole Miss - 9 bowl wins since '89
MSU - 9 bowl wins since God said, "Let there be light"

That cbs game last year sure did help that record didn't it? About as much as y'all's archie glory days did.

Funny how you bring up the 80's in baseball and '96 in basketball since you don't live in the past. But since history doesn't matter congrats on having a better football program than Michigan
