Not sure if you're familiar with it, but we had some Springbank last night. Single malt, aged 32 years.

GOOD LORD.
I have had the 15 year, and that was a pretty penny. I can't imagine what the 32 year costs.
According to google it's 600+ - $1000+
That probably puts my 23 year old Rip Van Winkle bourbon to shame.

My dad gave me his amp...that I've wanted for 20 years and he'd never let me touch it.

Haven't had Winkle. Anyways this guy had two bottles and it was my understanding from him that it wasn't cheap and it wasn't easy to get. His bar was shipped from an auction from a very old bar in Edinburgh. Bar tender, the whole deal.

I paid my rent selling Springbank last Christmas. I love their stuff, though I've never had the 32. The Springbank 15 and 10 year 100 proof are also fantastic if you'd like something for less than $500+, haha. Actually, the cream sherry finish is pretty badass too (the rum sucks incidentally, IMO). If you like that Campbeltown style, check out Longrow or Hazelburn sometime. They are also made by Springbank and interesting whiskies in their own right.

Bourbon is Bourbon. Scotch is Scotch. Wheated Bourbon is even more of its own thing. This is to say, I would never bash a fantastic Bourbon for not being the same as a fantastic Scotch, or vice versa. I am just thankful to live in a world where both exist.

alcohol that has been chilling for 30 years is the best

My pleasure. Always happy to share high notes from the Gospel of Whisk(e)y with a fellow disciple.
