Who was your SEC championship game opponent last year? Oh, Mizzou? Interesting. How close was it entering the 4th quarter? That close?

I'd take Malzahn over Pinkel any day of the week.

I think a lot of Gamecock fans will say Gregg Marshall after Odom left in 2007.

Agreed.

And maybe we would've ended up with Saban and then Miles.

Pointless scenarios but oh well...
Could you imagine Florida hiring Miles to replace Spurrier when he left? How would gator fans handle a stubborn ground and pound coach after the run & gun era of Spurrier? I don't think that would have gone over too well at all. LSU fans had an easy adjustment with similarities between Saban and Miles

We took Hal Mumme over Spurrier. Also, Rich Brooks over Urban Myer.

How did y'all take Mumme over Spurrier in 97?

SOS interviewed for the UK job one time. He did not get the gig. I recall him sticking it to us because of it. It may have been the time we hired Curry.

I know for a fact that Bill Parcells was heading to Lexington. Jerry Jones called, he changed his mind. The head trainer at UK was at one time the head trainer for the Giants when Bill Parcells was coach.

So he would've left UF for UK in 97?

Listen, I got it mix up. When Claiborne retired, SOS interviewed for the job. We took Bill Curry instead.
