I don't think he'll ever be better than 9-3...and will be fired in 3 seasons.

Your thoughts?

Hell its the offseason, this is basically all we've got. I can't think of any more things to list and / or rank right now.

This year he has pieces in place. Next year if staff leaves successfully? for new gigs this will hurt Ed.

Also next year could be a year a lot of coaches could be gone.

AU?
ARK
OM
TEX A&M
MISS ST
TENN

That's just possible SEC if those schools have a bad season. Look at expansion, and other conf it could be a big year for coaching? changes.

I believe one day he will be able to form at least one sentence that people who do not reside in a swamp will be able to actually understand.

Maybe....

The OP's prediction is a pretty good one I would say. Of course, I hope that is not the case and this crazy cajun bastard surprises the hell out of everyone

I don't think he is the Guy for LSU. I do like that he trying to move LSU forward with Canada as OC. Let's not kid ourselves LSU is still a beastmode type team. Capable of beating any team last year and this year also.

Well he's 3-21 in conference play as the head coach, so I don't know why anyone expects him to have a winning record.

I think they can make a run in two years but ultimately fall short of any hardware. He's going to be on a short leash so that'll get him fired. He's stockpiling good defensive linemen, hence my optimism that he won't be a total failure. I don't see him ever getting over that Alabama hump though, and given the importance of that game to the LSU fanbase, 10-2 with a loss to Alabama every year won't cut it as ridiculous as that is

Does he? A pretty brutal schedule. Loses the heart of the defense, the two best linebackers, the heart of the offense, the two leading receivers, and returns Etling at QB. LSU will need some kids to grow up in a hurry and exceed expectations to do better than 9-4 this season. 2018 will probably be the best year of his tenure

21 losses sure is a big number. In fact, it is three times as big a number as the number of points you made last year when Coach O did the yaw-yaw all over you.

He'll beat that record in his first year.

Agreed

Can't replace Jamal (But, I would keep the name Grant Delpit in mind). Devin White will have a break out year. As will Rashard Lawrence....Aranda will have them ready.

Was LF or Guice the heart of the O last year? Its really hard to say. Guice will fill in nicely there. I was honestly so upset when Malachi went pro as I knew we desperately needed his experience and talent. Lets hope the young guys grow up fast. Drake Davis is one to watch here along with Chark. Etling helped our O produce more yards last season than many have in the past, so I can't say this necessarily a bad thing for us to have him return.

Its not like these are losses that Bama doesn't take every year too. Its just time for LSU players to step up like they do and have no drop off...lord knows we have the talent to do it. Intrigued to see what type of team we field next year.

Cautious optimism. I'm still suffering from Les-induced PTSD.

At least you spelled eaux phonetically correct, unlike fellow Tiger fans who insist on spelling it Oeaux (oh-oh).
