What am I missing on Burrow?
The intangibles.
He doesn't throw all that well, and his arm isn't a canon. he just goes out there and completes key passes, and doesn't get picked off...as a whole. He is a smart QB and makes clutch plays.
I don't think he is enough to beat Alabama, but he is not the bad QB many think he is based off his statistics.

Why are people hyping this guy up?
Anyone "hyping" Burrow knows little to nothing about football. He's just a guy who has managed the offense reasonably well. His best attribute is his limited number of turnovers. LSU is terrible in the RZ and has trouble scoring against strong D's........like the one Bama has.
I like him because he's a competitor. He's not athletic but seems to be smart.

You know that we have played some pretty good defenses.. all while having an average oline at best... Give me a QB that gets rid of a ball as opposed to forcing it any day of the week... Burrow hasnt had the best protection. If he isnt given enough time, and wide receivers aren't having time to get open, throw aways are obviously the best option as opposed to forcing the football. Bottom line, Burrow is good.

Think of him as Lsu's version of McElroy.

Since you obviously didn't watch the game, let me give you a thumbnail sketch. It was 48-14 Bama after one series in the third. Saban pulled most of the starters, and Arkansas put 17 on the board the remainder of the game.....while Bama put 17 on the board as well.
The important thing about prior games is....stay with me here....NONE OF THIS MATTERS. What matters is two very good football teams are playing Saturday night. I happen to think Bama is the better of the two, but they haven't proven it yet.
So good luck, I hope it is a classic.

Unfortunately that's not gonna give you an idea of burrow and that's hes is in fact pretty good. Drops have killed us this year. And he doesnt take many chances if ots tight coverage

I like Burrow
What he lacks in athleticism, he makes up for in sassiness

His football IQ on reading defenses and an ability to check out of those traditional negative plays. It’s all the little things he does with his field vision.

Then why was Saban
so upset .
They weren’t 2nd string .
Just a couple replacements.

You lost to Florida. You beat Miami who now has 3 losses and are in 4th place in the worst Division in power 5 You beat Auburn who now has 3 losses and are battling for 4th place in the West this weekend. None of those are "top 10" wins.
I feel like you missed a game in there, but I can’t put my finger on it.

I'm excited our players will have the honor of being on the same field as them.
Indeed, so wonderful to have the masters of the college football universe visit our humble field.
We are not worthy.
