Let's hope this wakes him up and he begins to get his life back together.

Putting him in jail would be the best thing for him.

two questions: since when is beating up a woman a misdemeanor? and can you get jail time for one?

I was wondering the same thing, and I seriously doubt it. If he actually did what was accused it should be a felony

District attorney didn't want to have disgruntled aggies taking up for their hero calling her office night and day, complaining.

I bet texag7 has the Dallas DA's phone number on speed dial. Just below his boyfriend, Tate Martell.

Considering she had no physical marks on her face in the police photo and told people afterwards they were still dating a misdemeanor is about all they could hope to get.

Answer to question 1: The lowest levels of domestic violence are usually misdemeanors. Been that way since, well, forever.

Answer to question 2: Misdemeanors are usually punishable by a year or less in jail. Precise definitions vary by state, but the basic rule the Feds follow is a year or less. As to the can you really go to jail for one? Your county jail is full of people doing time for them.
