They think a tree every two three hundred yards is sufficient. This is the way of The Aggie. They don't like shade. This is why you Gumps will remain unsatisfied on your bi-annual trips to College Station. Although with the Cheerboys, your teabagging opportunities will be Gumptastik.

I was only on campus once, about six years ago, but I didn't remember any trees, so I googled it.

Am I missing something here?

Clearly, we have a different idea of what "covered with trees" means.

LSU

LSU map

quote:

The campus is known for the 1,200 live oak trees that shade the ground of the university. During the 1930s, landscape artist Steele Burden planted many of live oaks and magnolia trees, which are now valued at over $50 million. Many of the azaleas, crepe myrtles, ligustrum, and camellias planted in the quadrangle were added to the campus in the 1970s. Through the LSU Foundation's "Endow an Oak" program, individuals and groups are able to endow live oaks across the university's campus.

Every damn thing on this board is a pissing match. Everything. Now people want to argue about trees.
(hence, the Rant, I guess? )

We have 'trees.
Do we have the most of any campus in the country?
No.

But our squirrels think they're swell.

They have trees. But everyone knows the farther west you go in Texas the smaller the trees get.

Outside of the Hll Country/Austin, without a doubt.
But we're Texas A&M, not UTEP.

Well you do begin to get into brush and scrub oak country about halfway through Texas. Differences in climate. Much wetter climate in BR supports more vegetation.

We win.

So would this guy actually be affiliated with the US Military in any way or is he just part of a group that acts like they are military?

Yeah, it's kinda gotten off track, GeauxxTigers.

I was responding to LSUpimp's comment earlier:

And why no shade?
Plant a tree people.
Plant 10,000.
The place is like Dubai, except with scowling, pissed-off Cheerboys.
