re: Weird Stat - LSU has only lost 5 games 3 times since 2000, each 6 years apart

Yep. Remarkable consistency for the last 2 decades. Probably the 2nd best CFB program in that time frame

Name the amount you’d be willing to bet

If LSU goes 8-5 next year I will porn bomb every board of this site with the dirtiest shite you've ever seen.

Now do Bama in the same timeframe.

I am not saying you will...but its not like its crazy to think with everything lost and your schedule.

Exactly.. except uga and alabama. I would say alabama has a better shot than uga actually, but neither of them will

easily
Why do people keep saying this?
LSU could lose 5 games. It is possible. The odds that they lose every game that there is a possibility they could lose and a bowl game is not likely, which would certainly not make it "easily".

This means it's a possibility, not easily.

6 times - none since 2007
2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007
I don't know if you've heard, but 2000-2007 were basically the worst 8 years in the history of our program. Much like LSU lost 5 games or more 6 straight seasons from 1989 to 1994

I mean Bama has more of a teack record of doing it in OP's timeframe.

I kind of enjoyed it. I thought it was great.

I get what youre getting at, but we all know theyre not going back to shula era under saban..

The last time Alabama lost more than 3 games the freshmen on our roster were in Pre-K

Fun Fact: Saban has more 5 loss seasons at Bama than O has at LSU

I know George, I'm just talking shite.
A lot of unknowns with both programs next season, I agree with you though, I cant see either losing more than 4 games and even thats kind of stretch.
It'd take an epic collapse.

A modest bet should do then
$50?
To charity

fun fact: he also has 4 more championships. Claiming one 5 loss season in his first taking over after shula means anything is about the dumbest take ive seen on this board.

Im good. Again...not saying you will, but to think its just out of the realm of possibility is dumb. Id say you have a better shot at losing 5 games than winning the west though. Id give around 30% chance of 5 games and about 10% chance of winning the west.

We arent talking about championships, we're talking about 5 loss seasons.
FWIW I think none of the 3 you listed lose 5 games next season but there's literally no reason to assume LSU has a "better" chance at it.
