How do you possibly explain the curb stomping tennessee and georgia put on lsu in 2022 and how is that gonna change going forward? It wasn't like they were small losses, they were absolute blowouts similar to Brian Kelly's only cfp appearance?
that’s a week argument going back two years now, huh? How about? Let’s explain when LSU knocked Tennessee out of the SEC championship game what 20 years ago we can go back as long as you want I think.

He used the 4 Star Total.
Which is fine, but every other other choice in that pull-down menu puts Ohio State and Alabama at #’s 1 and 2 respectively. He doesn’t have to lie and make up rankings. LSU has done great in 2025 recruiting , as has Alabama.

It doesn't matter to me. It's splitting hairs either way.

No doubt. The Service Academies have almost double the amount of any school in the SEC

Do you understand how Service Academies work?

No athletic scholarships. Yet, they do recruit athletes who have to apply for admission

That was basically what I was saying . I was just pointing out that numbers don’t usually equal standings.

Other than Dabo and Smart, no other HC has won anything major either. Guess everyone else should hang it up.

Scholly #s work differently for Academies as they are all on 100% scholarship plus stipend. It's essentially a large walk on pool. Surprised they even make the rankings outside of ranked kids deciding to accept matriculation into them.

For someone who can't coach, sure has won a lot of games. Kelly is building a consistent monster....the fear is real.

Most of his classes were ranked in the teens on average. That's good but not elite.

Averaging #11 is better than "good" and especially at ND. The only people who said the argument against Kelly was recruiting have been LSU fans wish casting.

The knock against him - for twenty+ years - is he blows it when it matters. That will continue unless and until he wins something.

Mark Richt was a great recruiter and a very good coach. He couldn't get over the hump. I think Kelly is exactly where he should be and LSU is lucky he's there because he can recruit and coach. Time will tell if he is a natty winner or not but he absolutely looks the part. At a program where 3 different coaches have won a natty in recent history, 2 of whom are not considered good coaches, Kelly is better than those 2 for certain, no one is as good as the third one was....
