Felix Jones 99 yd KO return to open the game.

The Wildcat formation made its debut.

Painted team logos on a two-tone natural grass field instead or corporate sponsors.

Absolute rucous arse whoppin of an Ed O Ole Miss team that went 4-8, depsite a roster featuring Patrick Willis, Michael Oher, Greg Hardy, Dexter McCluster, Benjarvous Green-Ellis, John Jerry, and numerous other future NFL players.

And Jefferson Pilot Sports at 11 am...

The internet has got to be making these old TV broadcasts look worse than they actually were.

I know HD wasn’t perfect yet, but it still existed, lol.

Wildcat had been around a few years by then.

Kansas State was running something similar in 1998 and Villinova ran it in 1999 and actually called it Wildcat.

If Arkansas has invented it, it would have a pork name.

Making the comment on a JP Sports broadcast was wrong, lol, but I was watching highlights of Byrd’s catch to beat Auburn in 2007, which was an ESPN broadcast, and it looked like it was filmed with a potato.

720p was state of the art then. Most TVs were HD CRT or plasma. That footage was probably converted from VHS.

Now Arkansas’ team is comprised of a bunch of mid tier transfers named Taylen Williams. You are irrelevant.

I agree it’s wasn’t that bad, it has to be from how the film or data was stored back then.
